Girls have this weird tendency to basically be in a relationship with their best friend. I don't mean literally dating them, I mean spending more time and effort into the friendship then they would an actual relationship. I've had a lot of close friends in my life time, but only a few who get the real pleasure of seeing me through every lens possible. Having someone to lift you up, make fun of you, and who you are so comfortable with makes a friendship worthwhile. Getting too comfortable with people is what I'm good at, so sorry, BFF, that you get to deal with everything I have to offer, but really you know I'm not sorry. What's "too close," anyway?
1. If they're talking to/dating a guy, that means you are, too.
It's not like she wouldn't tell me everything you say to her anyways, so obviously I'm joining in on this FaceTime.
2. Everyone else is a third wheel on this friendship.
I'm not talking about one of us being the third wheels, I'm talking literally anyone else... like, even the boyfriend.
3. No conversation is off limits.
No, really... bodily functions, too. No secrets here... Plus, they are the only ones who probably won't judge you, so just go to them, even if you are just being funny or annoying.
4. Did I say no limits? Cause I meant NO limits.
"Oh, I'm just naked, it's OK, come in."
5. What's theirs is yours, and vise versa.
Of course my thumbprint is on your phone, how else do you expect me to send all of our friends Snapchats...???
6. This includes their house.
Knocking on a door isn't a thing, their parents ask what you want for dinner, and their pets favor you.
7. If they're eating, they better believe you are, too.
"Are you gonna eat that?" as you pick it up without an answer. I get that you made a plate of food for yourself, but I'm hungry, too, and we're BFF's, we share everything, right?
8. Everyone knows you are a package deal.
It's either we both come or neither of us do. If we aren't together, questions are asked by everyone.
9. Did I say something about relationships? Because that's what we're in here.
OK, we aren't dating. I'm straight, whatever, just smile and let me show you off because you are my BFF!
10. You're the life of the party when you're together.
Whether you go out often or not, everyone knows when you've arrived, because you have fun regardless of how the party is actually going.
11. They're your BFF, so is it ever too close?
Be goofy, tell secrets, make life-long plans! You don't find people you clique with very often in life and especially someone you can be so open with. Take your "too close" friendship as a blessing and never let it fade. LOVE YOU BFF.
