11 Signs You Are Already Over Being Home For Summer

The college semester has ended and you are finally home, but it isn't all it has cracked out to be and you find yourself begging for it to end.

You've done it! Finals are over and another college year full of excitement, crazy nights, laughter, sorrow, stress, and anxiety are all over. You pack your things up and are so ready to return home and see your high school friends and pets. Home cooked meals sound delicious and the thought of working all summer to save another boat load of cash all sound oh so good. However like most college kids, one week in and you're probably asking the famous question, "Is summer over yet?"

Here are 11 signs you are "over" being home for summer:

1. You are forced to live by your parents' rules again and are very unhappy about it.

Living back home for the summer probably entails having a curfew, doing chores around the house, and constantly being nagged to clean your room. No more late night runs for pizza... thanks, mom.

2. Your work shifts start to feel longer and longer.

You get so worked up when you check your watch every five seconds, just praying it is almost time to clock out, and find that time has actually stopped.

3. You realize you are "too old for this."

You have probably gone to some sporting events from your old high school, and find you are in between standing with the adults talking about 401k's and high schoolers discussing puberty. Yea, you've had enough of that.

4. You constantly text and Snapchat your college friends.

No disrespect to your high school friends, but your college pals are the ones you've lived with, studied until sunrise with, and ate an entire tub of ice cream on a random Tuesday night with. They just get you, and you can't stand not being in each other's lives over the summer.

5. You lost the desire for alcohol.

It's not that you don't like alcohol anymore, you just don't feel the need for it every Friday night like you do in college. Partying is nowhere near the same back home. A bowl of popcorn and some Netflix starts to sound like the perfect night in.

6. You find yourself back in high school gossip.

You and your high school friends are all mature now, but one thing you know you always did was gossip. The problem is you realize all you are doing now is sitting in someone's basement, just to find yourself discussing "Brad and Susan's relationship issues" like you did years ago.

7. You realize you've gained a little weight from eating unlimited snacks.

Home cooked meals are one thing, but when you come home to parents with unlimited money for snacks unlike college where a penny is a treasure, you may just have found yourself eating one too many twinkies.

8. You sit in your room all day looking at everybody else's lives via social media.

You find yourself refreshing your snap, twitter, and facebook feeds over and over until you realize it's been five hours and no one has posted anything. Probably because they are all doing the same thing as you.

9. You are actually starting to enjoy daytime television.

Let's be honest, daytime television just isn't great. So when you find yourself hooked on shows like "Dr. Phil," and "Judge Judy," signs are you need to get back on campus.

10. Schoolwork actually sounds half-appealing.

You have suddenly realized, "class doesn't even sound that bad right now." The second you think this is the moment you know for sure you need school. However, this feeling is fleeting. Once eight AM lectures hit, you're gonna be questioning why you ever wanted school again.

11. You get all excited just thinking about all the good times you are gonna have next summer.

College was so much fun last year, that every time you think about your upcoming semester with your pals, it makes you more excited than ever. "Is summer over yet?"

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
