I personally took an oath and vowed to myself that I will never in a million years watch a show more than once. It wasn't until I actually sat down and followed through the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. series that I immediately fell in-love. The show itself was humorous, with a great message behind it. And here are just a few quotes that really stuck to me:

1. "I don't think anyone's still mad at that...exactly because it's in the past."

Sometimes grudges are held towards the people that did you wrong, but sometimes, letting go of that grudge and moving on will only benefit you in the long run. Life's too short to hold such hate inside of you.

2. "Yeah I'm gonna stay in and read my book, I just wanna be alone right now."

There's nothing wrong with being alone once in awhile. Sometimes it's best to make time just being on your own to breathe and just destress. So whenever a friend says that they just want to be alone, respect that.

3. "It's kind of cool cause it's like one life ends and another begins."

This stuck to me the most. After losing someone dear to me this year, I know for a fact that I will see them again. Even though I still have a hard time accepting it today, it actually helps to think that somewhere out there another life has begun. It's like a circle of life, and we just have to pull through and make the best out of what we have.

4. "Now just because you don't understand something, doesn't make it wrong."

Everyone is different in their own way, and therefore sees the world in a different perspective as well. So just cause an opinion is different than your own, doesn't mean that they're wrong. Embrace a little diversity and keep an open mind.

5. "Don't judge Ross before getting to know him."

It's easy to judge someone just from the way they look, dress, or carry themselves. That's why it's best to keep in mind that you must get to know someone before judging them, because you never know he/she may turn out to be someone that you certainly vibe with.

6. "Once you find it, it's so worth it."

Once you find the person that's meant to be for you, all those past loves that never worked out will mean nothing.

7. "I just comforted her as a friend."

As told my Ross Geller, he never failed to comfort Rachel Green when she was upset, despite the hidden feelings between them. So when a friend is sad, don't ever fail to just comfort them. You never know how they truly appreciate that little gesture especially when things are just so against them right now.

8. "If you do get her, don't let her go...trust me."

This quote is pretty self explanatory. Once you find someone that brings the worst and the best of you, support you, love you with everything they have... don't ever let them go. Because one good girl is worth more than the several other side-chicks or friends-with-benefits you can possibly have.

9. " You finish the job that you were hired for, and you pull a Monica."

"Pulling a Monica" has been portrayed to be something negative in the show. And that's due to the fact that Monica's mom expected the worst, and that she's unable to finish the job without failing. But in the end, Monica prove to her mom that she can finish the job successfully, and perhaps won the stomach of her guests as well. So the message behind it is to not ever let anyone hold you back. Go out there and prove them wrong. No one should be stuck in the status quo.

10. "I say we shed these coats that separate us and we get to know the people underneath."

Maybe our education or our backgrounds separates us in some way, but screw the rules of society. Because at the end of the day, people are people and we should embrace these differences rather than allowing it to be a reason for discrimination.

11. "No, I'm really okay with this. You know why? Because look at them, look how happy they are. I made that"

This quote was told by Phoebe Buffay, after accepting the favor of being a surrogate for her brother's child. Now I'm not saying that life will throw you this kind of challenge. But sometimes there's something oddly satisfying about making a sacrifice for the sake of someone's happiness. Because you know you've made a difference in their life in some way, and believe me good karma will sure come your way.

I must say, this show truly holds a special spot in my heart. I laughed, I cried, and I certainly learned a lot. And nothing can ever compare to this series...EVER.
