Everyone needs somewhere to grab some grub during the summer. Whether you are taking a friend out, or making the parents pay. These are some of the best places to eat in Houston, not in any particular order.
1. Reef
This place has the best salmon. If you like fish you will love Reef. Their seafood is caught daily and is always fresh. If you don't like fish don't worry because they have an amazing fried mac and cheese that is big enough to fill you up alone. The bread is addictive and they give you tiny milkshakes as a free desert. They are located at 2600 Travis St, Houston, TX 77006.
2. Jus' Mac
Speaking of Mac and Cheese, who doesn't like it? This place does it best, with multiple different types of cheesy goodness. With two locations it is easy to get your fill of mac. Don't try and go on a Monday though, they are closed. They are located at 2617 Yale St, Houston, TX 77008.
3. Ninos

4. Ba Mien Bistro
Recently I have been really into Pho. It is a great light lunch and fills you up for cheap. Get the flank steak pho or the brisket pho at Ba Mien Bistro (5102 FM 1960 Rd W, Houston, TX 77069) . It will make you want to go more and more often. Also, the location might seem to be unpleasant, but the inside is very nice. The pho is even better.
5. Brothers Pizza
It is hard to find a great pizza place nowadays because everyone just orders from chains. But, if you are in North Houston you have to order from Brothers. They will deliver and they won't let you down. Writing this just makes me crave a huge pie from the Bros. Brothers Pizza is located at 9719 Mills Rd, Houston, TX 77070.
6. Tiny's No 5 (3636 Rice Blvd, West University Place, TX 77005)
The best brunch in Houston is at Tiny's No. 5. This place is by far higher quality than any classic brunch chain. They have amazing coffee, lots of seating, and donuts that are to die for. Make sure you get something savory (cough cough the West U Special), but you have to order the cinnamon sugar donuts. They are to die for. Tiny's is located at 3636 Rice Blvd, West University Place, TX 77005.
7. Damian's
Another Italian place that won't let you down. They also have pasta that is made in house and they have super friendly staff. Between Nino's and Damien's (3011 Smith St, Houston, TX 77006) you can get your Italian fix this summer.
8. Robard's Steakhouse
Steak is the best with a view. This steakhouse has an exceptional view of the golf course it is located on. The food is amazing and the steaks are always cooked to perfection. The coolest part of the Robard's experience is you get to pick from multiple steak knives for the perfect cut. For this memorable dining experience head to 2301 N Millbend Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77380.
9. Peli Peli
Peli Peli is number one on trip advisor. People rave about Peli Peli and their new location (110 Vintage Park Blvd, Houston, TX 77070) is booming just proves my point. They have great lamb chops and the atmosphere is nice. Further, the Vintage Park location is located next to multiple great dessert places.
10. Black's Market Table
This one might seem random. They are located in North Houston, 11550 Louetta Rd, Houston, TX 77070, in a somewhat remote location. However, the food is good. They have one of the best burgers I have ever had and a great deconstructed salmon salad. One thing I love about this place is how consistent it is. They never let you down.
11. Lupe Tortilla
What can I say about Lupe? They have the best Tex-Mex in the world. I have been to over 30 Mexican restaurants and have never had anything better. The best thing on the menu is the beef fajitas, they melt in your mouth. Lather them with queso and stuff them in a homemade flour tortilla, there is nothing better. Lupe Tortilla is located at 15315 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77090.
