October has come and gone and all we are left with are vague memories of the 31st and bellies stuffed full of candy (that's okay, we'll hit the gym tomorrow...). Since trick-or-treating has been deemed "inappropriate" for college students (Can you believe it?!), the fabulous idea of "Halloweekend" parties has been put in its place. While dressing up as a little kid meant making a pit-stop at the costume store and picking out your favorite princess/superhero, this tradition takes on a whole new form in college. Although there are a plethora of costumes to choose from, college girls for some reason always gravitate towards a few classics. Who knows, maybe they really do love bunnies, or maybe they just want an excuse to wear the ears and look really hot. Either way, here is a list of the 11 most basic costumes seen this Halloween.

1. Space Alien

The amount of girls that wore this outfit was "out of this world"

2. Cop

Let's not forget the handcuffs. They're an essential part of the outfit.

3. Bunny/animal with ears

Throwback to Mean Girls (no one does it as well as Regina)

4. Minions

Good thing girls always run in packs.

5. Firefighter

Psssh...what a lame costume..it's not like I ever wore this...

6. Risky Business

Definitely don't have to buy a costume for this one.

7. Catholic School Girls

I never thought those uniforms would actually come in handy but I was wrong

8. Some sort of couple costume

PB&J, Cop and Donut, you name it.

9. Fruit

It sounds weird but looks delicious

10. Doctor/Nurse

Any excuse to wear scrubs, am I right ladies?

11. A Duo from a movie/TV show

Whether it be Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl or Rachel and Monica from Friends, we've seen it before.
