In celebration of me actually having a kitchen next year (hall draw just finished), here is a list of a few kitchen tools you may or may not need in your life.
1. Wooden Cookbook Stand
Because why wouldn’t you want a $100 wooden stand just for your cookbook? Jokes aside, a cookbook stand is definitely something to consider adding into your kitchen collection. You won’t have to worry about touching your favorite cookbook with greasy hands or dropping it in your stew. Just... maybe not this one, considering the price.
2. Berry Buddy
You have a buddy. I have a buddy. Your berries most definitely deserve a buddy, too. Instead of just being a regular person and washing your berries like a regular person, this almost $50 berry container will give your berries a rinse like they've never had before. How thrilling.
3. Garlic Keeper
So your berries have a buddy now. Good news: your garlic can have a keeper! Who doesn’t want a gorgeously designed, handmade container just for one little clove of garlic? (Please let me know if you know someone who has purchased something like this. I would like to meet them.)
4. Popcorn Popper
This thing actually seems amazing. You can pop healthy popcorn, perfectly measured by the lid attached. Or you can add some butter on the lid, and let it drip onto the popcorn. No more popcorn bags. No more burnt popcorn. With this in your kitchen gadget collection, you are untouchable. Or rather, your popcorn is unburnable.
5. Electric Chopper
This is a must-have. If you don’t have one already, get one on Amazon now. This handy little blender will make your salad dressing, your pasta sauce--anything you can think of. Seriously, get it now.
6. Panini Press
These things work magic. You can press sandwiches, scramble eggs, grill bacon or make anything else your heart desires. Don’t let the tool constrain you. Be free and be creative. Make things that you aren’t supposed to make with it!
7. Vegetable Slicer
I have wanted to get something like this for a while. Regular pasta is great, but pasta made from vegetables is even better. You no longer have to worry about eating too much pasta, because you are being healthy and eating all vegetables. I know my mom would be very proud of me if this were in my kitchen.
8. Omelet Maker
This is truly the definition of lazy. You already are too lazy to make breakfast over a stove, yet you have a bowl dedicated to help you be even lazier. What has this world become? (Obviously, I’m not going to tell you that I used to own a microwave egg cooker that makes a fried egg in seconds. It's basically this tool's cousin.)
9. Corn Kerneler
Okay, this is actually the definition of lazy. Humans no longer can eat corn using their hands. They need tools like this.
10. Hot Dog Cage
You have a berry buddy and a garlic keeper, so now you can have a cage just for your hot dogs. Seriously, how did this even get 55 reviews? I am truly shocked, world.
11. Strawberry Huller
This is not a joke. This is actually a very nice tool that does exactly what it is supposed to do. However, why would you use it? I cannot answer, but according to all 1,951 customer reviews, people seem to really love it. Why not give it a try?
Enjoy!
