There is no time of year more horrible to football fans than the off-season. After another year of big moments, glorious wins and the roller coaster of emotions that all fans ride, the off-season is almost depressing. With no watch parties to attend or replays to watch, football fans can feel an emptiness waiting for the next season to start. However, many attempt to fill this hole in their lives by coping with their sadness in a variety of ways.
1. Reminiscing about the best moments of last season.
Because there's no greatness currently happening, you remember the touchdowns and game-changers of the past.
2. Constantly trying to fit football into conversation.
It doesn't matter if they're a fan, you're going to tell them everything about your team.
3. Randomly picking fights with rival fans.
"Hey, you remember when you totally choked in '07?"
4. Trying really hard to care about professional football.
They're just so old!
5. Obsessively reading all of the pre-season predictions and watch-lists.
I think we're gonna see some really impressive stuff this season.
6. Buying more of your team's merchandise.
All of your old stuff is so last season... Get it?
7. Pretending that you care as much about your college's other sports teams.
Baseball, basketball, whatever. We just want football!
8. Googling your team to see any updates about the team or the coach.
Apparently the quarterback got his mom a Mercedes for Mother's Day. I love that guy.
9. Brushing off people that bring up bad moments from last season.
He was just having a bad day, all right? The sun was in his eyes!
10. Pre-planning all of your watch parties.
There will be so many dips!
