Spring break is over and it is time for everyone to start fresh. Whether it is working on your cumulative gpa or setting goals to be a better person, everyone has something they want to achieve. Especially for University of Oregon students, spring term is the highlight of the school year and it is goodbye rain and hello sunshine!
But sometimes the sun can shine to bright and you can miss where you are headed. So here are a few things to help you get through these next 10 weeks.
1. Call your mom...
Seriously, you'd be surprised how refreshing a normal conversation can be and trust me she's worried so just touch base and explain how your C+ is technically a B.
2. Go out and have a good time.
Get out of the house! The sun should not be taken for granted in Eugene. Day parties, bike rides to Autzen and just laying in the sun is good for your sanity.
3. Don't overly drink.
Again we know how turnt Spring term can get, but you don't want to ruin it by drinking too much and making a fool of yourself!
4. School, School and School.
You have an 8am tomorrow so it is probably best you don't go out the night before. Make this term worth it, you're probably taking all gen ed's anyways.
5. Stay hydrated.
Drink lots and lots of water. It will keep you well and prepared for your plans throughout the next 10 weeks!
6. Eat healthy.
Set a goal to not just work out but taking care of your body. More fruits and veggies won't hurt.
7. Meet new people.
I know being with the same people every weekend is a norm because it's comfortable. But there are so many other people that you might actually like! Connections are everything.
8. Go to festivals/concerts.
Odesza, Sasquatch, Coachella and everything else. Plan a trip with your friends and take a break from the Eug and enjoy some good company and music.
9. Go somewhere other than Spencer's Butte.
Exploregon! Get out and adventure, Oregon has so much to offer when it comes to nature. Get a breath of fresh air.
10. Save money.
Don't go out to eat every weekend, or buy another color of the same t-shirt dress and maybe only go to Dutch once a day...You'd be surprised how much money over time you could accumulate.
Make this the best term ever for you. Go Ducks and SkoSpringTerm!
