We all get a little stressed sometimes.

College students are bombarded each week with extensive papers, hundreds of pages of text to read, exams, lab reports, you name it. After a while the work load gets a little too much and you feel as if you just need a break from all of the studying. Here are a couple of ways for you to de-stress during your busy school week.

1. Coloring

Grab a coloring book, your favorite coloring pencils or crayons and go to town. Coloring is a wonderful creative outlet that allows you to just sit down and use your imagination. Anti-stress coloring books have become popular throughout the past year and can be found on several online stores such as Amazon.

2. Go on a walk

Sometimes all it takes to de-stress is a walk downtown or around campus. Getting some fresh air and emerging yourself in a new environment is a great way to forget about your crazy work load. You also get some exercise at the same time. Win-win.

3. Take a nap

A lot of the times us college students lose sleep throughout the week by staying up late studying. Take a half hour to just curl up in a ball and doze off. You'll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to get back to work.

4. Look at cute pictures of animals on the internet

This one is definitely my favorite. Have you ever typed in "cute panda bear" into Google Images? Try it!

5. Dance it out

Organize a playlist of your favorite songs and throw a dance party. Grab your roommates or a couple friends and just jam out.

6. Movie night

Movie nights are a great way to just sit back and relax. Throw some popcorn in the microwave and enjoy some of your favorite films.

7. Comfort Food

Sometimes stress eating is necessary. There's nothing wrong with eating a couple handful of chips or even making some brownies. In my opinion, food fixes everything.

8. Online Shopping

This one can be slightly dangerous if you're a college student on a budget, but it's always fun to just look around for new outfits on your favorite online store. Usually every online shopping site is having sale, so scrounge up your few dollars and buy yourself something nice.

9. Read a book

Reading a book is a great option because it allows you to escape your stressful reality for a bit. Curl up with a blanket, a cup of coffee, your favorite book and emerge yourself into a new world.

10. Go to the gym

Even if you aren't big on working out, you will be glad you got some exercise. Pop in your headphones and go for a run on the treadmill. Afterwards you'll be feeling refreshed and ready to hit the books again. Just don't pull a Taylor Swift.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
