There are many things we all did growing up and that we can even remember. If you can't remember what you did growing up, hopefully these 10 common things will help refresh your memory!
1. Playing outside until it was dark.
We used to round up the other children in the neighborhood and play outside until it was super time. We would go to the park, on bike rides, or just play in someone's front yard.
2. Going on family vacations.
Family vacations were taken at least once a year, if not more. Whether it be going to Disney World, Tennessee, or on a cruise, you still enjoyed quality time with your family.
3. Playing a sport.
This was the time for you to test out all sports and decide which one(s) you enjoyed the most! It's all a learning process.
4. You have that one best friend.
Even though you and this friend have went separate ways, you two still talk on occasion and when it happens, it's like you two pick up where you left off.
5. You went to summer camp.
Summer camp was something you looked forward to because you got a week away from your parents. Your parents also enjoyed it too, because they got a break from you, but ended up missing you the second day you were gone. You couldn't wait to tell them all about the adventures of camp.
6. You were limited on the time spent watching TV.
Your parents worried that too much time spent watching TV would damage your brain, unless it was educational television.
7. You spent a lot of time with your parents.
You did everything with your parents because you were too young to be left alone.
8. You enjoyed going to fairs.
Whether you went to the fair to ride rides, feed animals, or go to a race, it was one of your excuses for getting to stay up past your bed time.
9. Bed time.
You were on a strict sleeping schedule during the school year, and sometimes even during the summer.
10. There was homework...even in the summer.
It felt like you were always doing homework, even though it was easy at the time.
Growing up taught us a lot and has helped prepare us for the future when becoming an adult. Even though we may grow apart with people, the memories will never fade away. One day, we'll be able to look back and remember when we had it easy.
