1. You will be home sick.

I call my mom almost every day, and sometimes we talk multiple times in a day. She became my best friend while I was away, and it was important that I always talked to her. You will become extremely busy, and you may not always remember to call your parents, but it is so important that you do. One call every now and then will make your parents so happy because they do miss you more than anything.

2. Don't spend all your money.

Yes, I know it may be hard, but saving your money is key! I blew through all my money so fast, and my parents were not happy about it. Don't be so fast to go eat off campus, cook a meal in the dorms, go to the cafeteria or use the on-campus restaurants. Before you even realize it you will be calling home asking for more money.

3. Never forget who you are.

College is about realizing who you are in the world and beginning a whole new life. You will meet so many people who are all different and all bring different things to the table. But never forget who you are or your morals. Everyone you meet will know nothing about your past; however, don't be so eager to be something you aren't because of that. Don't be afraid to be yourself because at the end of it all that is all that matters.

4. You will miss your pets...a lot.

It's weird knowing your dorm is suppose to be your "home" away from home and not have your pets to greet you everyday. I am obsessed with my dogs, and I think saying goodbye to them was the hardest thing. But it makes the visit back home so much better when they are excited to see me.

5. College classes are way different than high school classes.

Some of your classes maybe easy and some of them will be so hard you want to pull your hair out! My high school teachers warned me college would be so hard and how the professors are mean, but honestly, you will have great professors. Not always though. The professor does not care if you come to his class because regardless they will be paid. Which leaves you with a lot of responsibility - you have to be on top of all your classes and be organized.

6. Anything can be fixed with coffee, naps and FRIENDS.

All you need to be happy will be coffee and lots of random naps and good ol' FRIENDS! Trust me on this one.

7. There will be lots of tears, but that doesn't mean you are weak.

The amount of tears cried during my freshman year is probably close to the amount I cried watching season three of Orange Is The New Black, which was a lot. It's okay to cry, it actually feels good to cry whether its over a dumb boy, bad grades or just because you want to cry. Do it - it is the best therapy.

8. The best friends you make in college will be lifelong friendships.

You will find a group of girls who will soon become your best friends and you will do everything with them. You won't be able to image life without these people and the bonds you guys have will be amazing.

9. Get involved on campus.

Being involved on campus will lead you to success! Join a sorority/fraternity or clubs - there are tons of clubs on campus, and you will be successful if you join. Not only will you meet so many people and be involved in amazing things but you will have great things to put on your resume.

10. TIME FLIES BY.

This year was the best year of my life so far, and I'm so excited to get back and tackle my sophomore year. Despite the rollercoaster of emotions, ups and downs and turns and random stops its not over yet! It just begun! Here's to you, freshman year!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
