Do you love the beach? Are you sick of the usual things that you do at the beach? Do you need something new and fun to do? The following contains ten different and enjoyable activities that you can do with friends and family, and you can use them to build your own ideas off of them.

1. Build a sandcastle…with sand animals

So you can have tenants that live in the amazing sandcastle you make. Or you can just build the sand animals—like an octopus, turtles, crabs, sea stars, and other fish.

2. Become a sand mermaid

Rather than just the typical “bury your whole body” in sand.

3. Go on a scavenger hunt

For types of seashells, types of rocks, bird feathers, beach glass, molten animal skins like Horse Shoe Crabs, and whatever else you can come up with. And you can bring them home and use them for DIY projects.

4. Make a sundial

That way you can try to tell time without using your phone or watch. And it can be good practice if you ever get stuck on a deserted island.

5. Play Tic-Tac-Toe

Collect two different colored rocks and draw the board out in the sand.

6. Take Sand Shadow Photos

They’re fun, cute, artsy, and perfect for that Instagram post.

7. Create Beach Art

Use the rocks, seashells, and whatever else you can find to make what comes to mind in the sand.

8. Exfoliate Your Feet

It’s free, and if you have a steady hand give yourself a pedicure. Or you can just wait until you get home to wash your feet and do them.

9. Make Rocks Designs

You can draw eyes, nose, mouth, and everything to make a pet rock. Or you can design rock art and you can use them to decorate your house.

10. Collect Seashells For Home and D. I. Y. Projects

You can make necklaces and other jewelry, Christmas tree ornaments, wind chimes, signs and letters, and so forth.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
