1. Take a Beach trip.
Whether it’s a day trip with your sister, or you get a couple of friends together and rent a cheap hotel, going to the beach in the summer is a must.
2. A day trip to an amusement park.
Six flags, Hershey, Dorney Park, there are countless amusement parks that aren’t that far at all. Even if you’re not a rollercoaster person, there are plenty of other things to do there.
3. Go to a concert.
A free concert? There are tons of them all summer, and you don’t need to know the music to have fun.
4. City trips.
I personally hate the city, but I still want to take one day this summer and go walk around, do some shopping, and hopefully find a spot that I don’t think is way too crowded and smells.
5. Get in shape.
When I’m not at work, I love taking some time to go for a run, especially outside. Summer is the perfect time to get in shape, because eating healthier goes hand in hand with exercise and who doesn’t love a delicious fruit smoothie on a hot day? If nothing else, I’m sure the fact that its bathing suit season is motivation to get active!
6. Make money.
Summer is supposed to be fun and relaxing, but as you get older, and especially if you’re a college student, you learn the importance of working hard, as no one likes being broke. Time to resort back to your summer job and make money so you can do fun things all sum- I mean save money for books in the fall.
7. Try a new restaurant.
I am so sick of the same five places there are to eat less than ten minutes from my house. This summer, I want to eat somewhere I never have, and try something I normally would not eat. I think everyone should do this, sometimes it’s important to step out of your comfort zone!
8. Go to the zoo.
Whether you love seeing the penguins or the lions, the zoo is fun for everyone; pick a day when the weather is nice and go, but hold onto your kid when you visit the gorillas.
9. Go on a road trip.
It doesn’t have to be far, or anywhere that cool; pick a new ice cream place, or a new store, make a playlist and go for a drive.
10. Have fun.
Whatever you do this summer, make sure you’re having fun and enjoying it. Do what makes you happy, you only get ten weeks so make the most of it!
