A lot of people have spent their summer working hard, playing hard or doing both and with fall right around the corner, here are seven things you should definitely do this summer if you haven’t had the chance to do them yet.

1. Get your tan going.

It’s never too late to get your tan on! Many people don’t enjoy tanning for several reasons but another easy way to achieve a tan is fake tanning. From drugstore to high-end products there are a lot of safe and easy ways to give your skin a glorious tan.

2. Switch up your hair.

If the sun hasn’t yet kissed your hair, cheat and go lighter with the help of some bleach. If you’re feeling adventurous, dye your hair with streaks of color or try out some temporary color methods if you don’t want a permanent change. Summer is a great time to experiment with shorter hair whether it is only a few inches, an undercut or a pixie cut, it will be a huge relief from the heat. Split ends are common during the summer due to sun damage so if a trim is needed, go for one!

3. Wear summer colors.

You’re probably thinking, “I can’t show up to work in a hot pink shirt,” well you can and the only reason for that is that it is summer. Wear any clothing item or accessory in a summer color that will make your outfit pop and cheer up your mood, your options are endless. Plus, you’ll have a little extra to look forward to in the mornings.

4. Go summer-sale shopping.

As the season is close to an end, many stores have already started putting out sales. Many summer clothes, body products, make up, accessories and all summer related items in general can usually be used all year round or saved for next summer so please don’t miss out from some amazing deals!

5. Don’t miss out on summer dishes.

Some fruits are only available by seasons, which is why summer brings us tropical drinks, dishes, candy and dessert options. Remember you can always make them yourself by searching DIYs, which are always fun to do with some friends and family!

6. Oil up.

Being exposed to the sun is wonderful but too much sun can be damaging. Use oil on your hair to repair, bring back some moisture and shine as well as to help split ends improve. Use on your skin as a moisturizer and over your cuticles for healthier nails. Mix it with some brown sugar and use the mixture to exfoliate but be careful to not over do it. Some of the oils I enjoy using for the previous are coconut oil and argan oil but there are many more options you can use.

7. Make your summer unforgettable.

There is still time to try something new or do something unexpected. It could be going on a road trip, throwing a party, visiting a friend who lives far from you between many other things that can cause an impact in this summer so that you will never forget it. Take pictures along the way to help you keep the memories! If you’re not able to try something different then try your hardest to make the best out of every day that’s left of summer.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
