Those of us with dark hair are lucky to have been blessed with chocolate or raven colored locks. In fact, we dark-haired folks are a common breed. We outnumber blondes and redheads by a lot. However, we have our fair share of downsides, especially in the summer.
1. That burning sensation on our heads in hot weather
It burns!!!
2. Having to shave every part of our body.
Unless we want to walk around looking like Bigfoot or a gorilla.
3. Our hair leaves a trail all over the place... and they are way too noticeable.
This holds true for the hair on our heads too, tbh.
4. Not being able to try out a bright summer color on our hair.
Unless we want to kill our hair by getting it bleached. As much as I would love to rock a bright hair color, I do not want to damage my hair by bleaching it. Looks like I will be staying on the dark side (no pun intended).
5. If our scalp peels, everyone will see it.
It makes us look like it snowed on our heads. Today's forecast for your head is a 100% chance of dry skin. Please handle with care.
6. Our hair buns look like a giant dirt ball.
Hey, at least it gets our hair off our necks when it's 100 degrees out there.
So there you have it. These are common summer struggles faced by those of us with chocolate or raven hair. Even though we go through all this every summer, we wouldn't trade our dark locks for anything!
