10 Songs You Need on Your Spring Workout Playlist

It is finally feeling more like spring in the Midwest (aka we no longer have a negative wind chill), and now is the perfect time to spruce up your workout playlist. Whether you're running outside or hitting the gym this spring, make sure you check out these songs to keep you pumped while you're exercising.

Sugar – Maroon 5

Not as upbeat as some of the songs on this list, Sugar is a great song to warm-up or stretch to. Most importantly, this song made the list because of its adorable music video that I can't stop watching – definitely check it out if you haven't already.

Shut Up and Dance – WALK THE MOON

WALK THE MOON basically wants you to shut up and get moving, which is exactly what you should be doing at the gym. As the song suggests, “don't you dare look back, just keep your eyes on me," and that 'me' is the beach body you've always wanted.

Want to Want Me – Jason Derulo

My newest song obsession, Jason Derulo is like an angel from heaven serenading you as you workout to this song. All he wants is for you to want him and that should be more than enough motivation to keep moving.

Talking Body – Tove Lo

The fact that Tove Lo says that “you've got a perfect (body)" in this song creates motivation to make your body that much better. Push yourself to train harder and make your body that much better.

We Got the World – Icona Pop

Definitely a throwback since this song was released almost two years ago, this song will keep you motivated to keep pushing through your workout because after this workout you'll be able to do anything, like conquer the world.

Ghost – Ella Henderson

Another new chart-topper, Ella Henderson describes a relationship gone bad in her song, Ghost. You might be able to relate, pull from this past pain, and gain the strength to keep pushing through.

7/11 – Beyoncé

This list wouldn't be complete without a song by Queen B, so cue 7/11. Per usual Beyoncé fashion, this song is pretty fierce. 7/11 is one of her newer songs and will keep you moving throughout your run or lift.

i – Kendrick Lamar

This song is nothing but good vibes as Kendrick Lamar encourages you to love yourself and the skin you're in. Be confident in yourself, and you'll definitely see results at the gym.

Nobody to Love – Sigma

Nobody to Love is the perfect last “working song" to help you push through the final parts of your workout. Its high tempo and EDM-esque beat will motivate you to finish strong and feel good about what you've accomplished at the gym. Maybe the new hot body you get from this workout will give you somebody to love.

Goodbye – Who Is Fancy

A little slower paced, Goodbye makes for a great cool down song. Say goodbye to all the calories you burned, because you're finally done with your workout.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
