10 Signs You Have Baby Fever (but are nowhere near ready)

A want for a baby is not currently a need

10 Signs You Have Baby Fever (but are nowhere near ready)

Babies. Even that word draws some people in.

They are just all things tiny, with their itsy-bitsy toes, fingers, and noses. Do not even get me started on their little bows, shoes, and any thing clothing.

If you are currently agreeing with the last few sentences, or are anything like me, then you have at least a hint -- or even full blown -- baby fever! Yes, I said it and I'm only 19: baby fever. However, as much as I smile every time I see a cute little one, I know that I am not personally ready for my own little one.

1. You love to snuggle them while they are snoozing, but once they start fussing you realize your pillow is a much better cuddle buddy.

2. When you are out in public you see a baby and automatically think, "Aw!" and start making silly faces.

But then the baby makes a weird face and even possibly cries.

3. You sign up for a babysitting gig since you love children.

But, unfortunately, you get a colicky infant (which you did not even know existed) and second guess your desire to have children.

4. Bouncing a baby up and down and talking in that basic baby talk is always a go to. However it is far less cute whenever vomit appears.

That smell itself makes the experience unforgettable.

5. Twins! How adorable?

They are best friends for life and do everything together. Unfortunately, the everything is not always an understatement considering the full diapers ironically make a synchronized appearance.

6. Us teenagers love our sleep.

I mean, even the doctors say we should get at least eight hours of it. Babies tend to disagree with that previous statement.

7. Their little socks are probably the cutest article of baby clothing ever, until you realize that they become sprinkles throughout the house.

8. Whenever you see a baby you just want to hold it forever and ever, until you come to the realization that they can be a weight for your upcoming workout.

9. Walking into a Babies R Us should be avoided, you drool over all of the cute miniatures of every stylish outfit.

You imagine how much money you will begin to spend on your child rather than yourself.

10. Happy, giggly, and smiling babies are so cute!

Babies are not always happy. Bummer, right?

Babies are, by far, the most adorable thing out there. However they do come with their ups and downs that one will soon realize after being around one on a regular basis. As much as I want to pinch their chubby cheeks and snuggle them, I know that I am not ready for a baby of my own, right now. Visiting family and friend's babies will just have to do, for now.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
