10 Tragic Signs He's Not As Into You As You Need Him To Be

Because no one wants to be "that girl"

10 Tragic Signs He's Not As Into You As You Need Him To Be
Stocksnap

We have all been there when someone has popped the question of, "So are you guys dating or just talking?" when you and that special someone get seen by a few curious people.

I always tend to tell no one if I am seeing someone new due to this reason. I hate the dreaded title of new relationships because it makes things messy. Not only is this question awkward for those on to new, blooming relationships, but definitely for those who get asked and don't even know what you consider you and your partner because he won't let a girl know.

Thankfully, through my history of duds I call my dating life, having an older brother with commitment issues, and a little of history with me losing interest, I can assure you one thing: with the 10 signs I give you, you will know off the bat that it's not them, it's you.

1. He is bailing on you all the time

This one is my favorite that girls tend to give excuses for. "He's busy," my friend will say as she gets dissed for pre-made plans to dinner. Yeah, his busy and your busy may be two very different things. While in another case, your boy might be an honest one and actually be busy, most can get away with telling you he is.

Not all, but from my experience, a guy that is not into you will definitely cancel plans more than one time. Trust me chica, everyone is busy doing something. We all prioritize our time and, well, if his video game or even worse, homework, is before you, you might want to X this one out on your list. We all make time for the people we want to.

2. He doesn't text back that often

Now this one is a very controversial one. While there are always exceptions to the rule, remember that we are the rule. While not all guys will be guilty of this, usually this is what it means when they are. I know even when I am super busy, I still try and tell the person I'm talking to so they know I'm not ignoring him or her. When I like the person I'm texting, I definitely make sure to text them back.

You don't "forget" to text your potential boyfriend you stalk daily. So why would he forget to text you back all the time if he is interested? It's not that hard to figure out.

3. You haven't been introduced to his friends

This one I know to be too accurate, because I've even had boyfriends admit to me that if their friends weren't feeling a guy's girl, then it wouldn't be the happiest of relationships. If a guy is hiding you from his friends, it's definitely something to be fishy about. A guy is supposed to show you off, not keep you in a cage with just him there to hang out with.

4. He has excuses for not wanting to be with you

Now this one for some reason girls tend to believe far more often than they should. He says, "But I'm just busy with school and need to focus," or even, "I just got out of a relationship, so I don't want to rush into another." Okay, I get it. Being in a horrible relationship for a long time doesn't exactly make you want to jump into one right after. I have been the one to use these pathetic excuses, so take my word for it. If a guy wants to be with you, he is going to make that happen. Guys are potential hunters that don't typically just sit and wait for things to come to them.

Some guys like the chase and you, then there are some that will leave once that chase ends. Know the difference.

5. He's hot and cold

If your potential man has given you all sorts of mixed feelings, this could be another sign that he's just not that into you. If one minute he's blowing your phone up being all sweet, then ignoring your text for five hours, he could be less bored than he was when originally texted you. I don't know about you, but I never want to be considered that person someone texts when they're bored. Like I said before, a guy that wants to make you his will make sure you know it. He won't want someone else trying to scoop you up as well.

6. He doesn't follow up with you after seeing him

Most guys that want to keep seeing you will obviously text you or, even better, call. No, he didn't get hit by a train. He just simply does not see you two going any further, and that's the easiest approach of doing it.

7. He only talks about HIS life

If he is steady talking about him or how his day was and rarely asking about yours, it might be a sign of him needing the boot. When you like someone you're genuinely interested in them and things they like, right? Exactly. You're not boring. You're awesome, and he should realize that. Too bad he won't, because he's too interested in himself.

8. He talks about other girls in front of you

Now the only time I was friend-zoned by a guy I really liked, this was my mistake. I never considered it strange that he talked about occurrences with other girls or even his attraction to them. I thought, "Oh, he's just a guy. They all do that." Nope. They don't actually. If a guy wants it known that he wants you, that's the last thing he'll do. If he's treating you like one of the bros, maybe that's all he wants you to be.

9. He's more into the physical stuff

If he uses one of the lame excuses such as, "I just got out of a relationship and I don't want to rush things," yet he is rushing right into bed with you, a light bulb should finally come on. Yes, I have seen relationships come out of one-night stands, but usually that isn't the case. If he is already talking about sex with you without actually getting to know who you are, then that is probably all he is after.

10. You guys rarely hang out in public

In most guys' minds, keeping their options open means not being seen with only one girl all the time. Obviously, people will think something is up when they see two people always together. Guys are aware of this. It's not him just being busy in different places than you. It's more than just him not knowing what to do for a date or having low funds. Even with zero dollars and minus a bedroom, there are numerous things he could do to make you feel special. Picnics, hiking, taking a walk. They're all pretty much free. You're welcome.

While you may have heard these over and over, these are my personal tips I've found work the best in dodging a potentially bad situation. It's never any fun to be played around with. Best of luck in dodging the bullets, friends.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
