10 Signs You're Obsessed With Your Dog

Everybody loves their dog, but some people take it above and beyond the call of duty - we're obsessed! Our dogs are our pride and joy, and we make sure everyone knows it. Here are 10 signs that you might be obsessed with your four-legged friend.

You treat them like a human child.

Throwing them birthday parties, cradling them like a baby, and capturing their cutest moments on camera are completely normal. Why WOULDN'T you do all these things for your precious angel?

You leave your house at least five minutes later than you originally planned because you got caught up in telling them goodbye.

A basic "Bye, sweetie!" is not gonna cut it. Every time you end up holding them, telling them you love them and that you'll be back soon. Your baby deserves a thorough goodbye, and running a few minutes behind is worth it for them.

You genuinely miss them if you're gone for more than an hour or two.

Maybe you're at work or maybe you're spending time with friends and family, but you can't help but miss your baby when you're away.

You could spend an entire day just looking at them.

Seriously, how did they get SOOOOO CUTE?!?

You make other people admire how precious they are.

You've posted a million pictures of them on social media, and you have a million more on your phone at the ready if someone starts talking about dogs. I even catch myself telling my parents to "Look at Ruby! Look how precious she's being right now!" at least 10 times a day.

You get offended when people try to say that their dog is cuter than yours.

I'm not saying your dog isn't cute, but comparing your dog to mine is just sad. You will never convince me that my dog is anything less than the epitome of cuteness, so please don't try.

You're sad that they can't be there for important milestones in your life because they're, well, a dog.

You wanna share your life with your little buddy, but they can't exactly go to prom with you or see you graduate or things like that. But hey, people have started putting their dogs in their wedding parties, so anything is possible!

You feel so betrayed when they sit with someone else.

How dare they snuggle up to someone else? You give them all the love in your heart and then someone else gets all the glory? That's just wrong.

...but in reality you can't stay mad at them for longer than like 30 seconds.

They get that look on their face when they know they're in trouble that just melts your heart. It's a vicious cycle: get mad, forgive them, and go right back to cherishing them as if they didn't just poop on your bed.

They are truly your best friend.

The companionship of a dog is unlike that of any other pet. Your dog is your best buddy, and you're so glad they're a part of your life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
