1. You don’t wait until everyone has his or her food to eat.
It’s “eat first or you don’t eat at all.” We are the type of people who take our food very seriously and often have a hard time sharing.
2. You don’t understand the concept of being quiet.
If you grew up with brothers, you know the only way to get a word in is by putting every ounce of energy you have into talking loud just to get a word in. People will often tell you they can hear you from miles away.
3. You are no stranger to pranks.
I’m not talking about putting the toilet paper roll on the wrong way. If you grew up with brothers, pranking is an art and tends to turn into an elaborate mess.
4. Casual family dinner talk isn’t a thing.
There is no, “How was your day?” conversation happening. Instead there is a lot of yelling and fighting over food until someone inevitably spills his or her entire drink on the table.
5. Insults are part of daily conversation.
You don’t take these insults too personally because you know it is just your way of communicating with your brothers.
6. You have mostly guy friends.
Having grown up with brothers, you appreciate the male sense of humor and choose to surround yourself with people who laugh at the same weird jokes as you.
7. You are not worried that working out will make you look bulky.
You are not the type of person who is scared to gain some muscle. The more muscle the better you can win in an arm wrestling match against your brothers.
8. You are competitive.
If you’re not first, you’re last, and there’s nothing worse than being last.
9. Your family only calls you by your nicknames.
When they do address you by your real name something is probably off.
10. You try to keep up with the boys when drinking.
Some of us can hold our drinks. Others of us forget we are smaller than our brothers and can't handle that much alcohol.
