Hello Giggles

Ah, the early 2000s, what a time to be a kid. Growing up in the early 2000s, us ‘90s kids were constantly playing outside, listening to The Backstreet Boys or creating our own dances to "Hit Me Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears, playing MASH at school with our friends because we thought it predicted our futures, or playing Concentration at recess because we thought we were too cool for the play equipment. When we weren’t doing any of the above, you could catch us watching one of the many beloved television shows that were popular at the time. 10 shows from the early 2000s that we all wish would make a comeback are…

1. "All That", 1994-2005

A big hit that ran from the mid 1990s to the mid 2000s is "All That". If you’re a 90s kid and never saw "All That," did you really grow up in the early 2000s?

2. "Hey Arnold!," 1996-2004

Before iPhones and social media, kids would wake themselves up in the mornings by watching Nickelodeon shows such as "Hey Arnold!" Who could ever forget Arnold and his neighborhood crew of friends Gerald, Eugene, Stinky, Harold, and of course Helga, as well as many more. Helga set the stereotype that girls are mean to the boys they like. She was always telling him to, “move it, football head,” but carried a locket of his picture, and even had a secret shrine of him in her room!

3. "Catdog", 1998

The title says enough; this show was awesome.

4. "Ed, Edd, n Eddy", 1999

"Ed, Edd, n Eddy", the show based off three kids with almost the exact same name living in a cul-de-sac trying to scam other kids for money to buy jawbreakers. Oh and one of their best friends, Jonny, carries around a plank of wood saying it’s his best friend. Sounds a bit odd, doesn’t it? Well, it is.

5. "Even Stevens", 2000-2003

Way before Shia LaBeouf’s "Transformers" days, most people knew him as the prankster 15 year old, Louis Stevens on the Disney Channel show, "Even Steven". This show had us constantly dying of laughter between Louis’s immature pranks, Beans’ obsession with bacon and his recurring appearance at the Steven’s house, and the ridiculous fights between Ren and Louis. If there’s one thing we’re all dying to know, it’s that what is Bean up to in 2016???

6. "Lizzie McGuire", 2001-2004

"Lizzie McGuire" the infamous Disney Channel show that taught us about how to impress our crush (or more like how not to), standing up to snobby bullies like Kate Sanders, and that our best friends will always have our backs no matter what. Not to mention, it showed us how embarrassing shopping for our first bra can be…

7. "Fairly Odd Parents", 2001-2006

When we were little, we all wished that we could have two fairy godparents like Timmy Turner did. Every wish we ever had as kids could have be easily granted by Cosmo and Wanda. I mean seriously, how great would that have been?!

8. "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius", 2002-2006

The theme song to this classic Nickelodeon show says it all: “a super-powered mind, mechanical canine, he rescues the day from sure destruction. He’s gotta save the world and get to school on time…” Oh yeah and one more thing, “gotta blast!”

9. "That’s So Raven", 2003-2007

A teenage girl that can see glimpses of the future…um, Raven Baxter, can we be you?!

10. "Drake & Josh", 2004-2007

One word: Megan *eye glare*

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
