In the U.S., sexuality and relationships, regardless of gender, are becoming so much more accepted. There are still a select few people who will judge you for being gay. Why would you want to face that prejudice? Why would you choose to be gay? If you are having trouble deciding if you should pursue that same-sex relationship, look no further. Here are 10 reasons why you would absolutely not want to be gay.
1. You don’t have friends because no one accepts you because of who you love.
We don't know her.
2. You get embarrassed to be in public with your significant other.
I am so embarrassed to hug and kiss you in the train station.
3. Constantly facing stereotypes can’t be fun at all.
Flannels are lame. Athletic clothing is not comfortable. Snapbacks are hideous.
4. You can’t explore new places together.
The view from the Statue of Liberty is mundane. You will be judged for walking around holding hands.
5. Date nights are boring.
Getting dressed up to go out for a date is so old-school. You should just Netflix-and-chill.
6. So boring.
Who even likes bowling?
7. There are no cute gifts that you can buy each other.
You want lesbian couple pillowcases? I'm sorry, they don't exist.
8. You can’t kiss your partner without being scared.
Mhmm. Scared.
9. You don’t know how to make your partner happy.
She's so upset.
10. You can’t fall in love with your best friend.
Best friends can't dual as lovers. They just can't. It doesn't work that way.
There you have it, folks. You definitely don't want to pursue that same-sex relationship now, right?
*If you haven’t noticed, this article was very sarcastic. I don’t mean to offend anyone. Clearly, I am greatly in support of same-sex relationships and am well aware that you cannot choose your sexuality. I am happily in a relationship with my girlfriend of almost 2 years, who is pictured throughout the article.*
