The National Hockey League already has millions of fans throughout the world. I have been blessed enough to be one of them. I've been going to games since I was a little girl. I remember the rush of excitement going through my body as I experienced the live game right in front of my eyes.
Nothing even compares to the rush of playoff hockey.
1. The Best Atmosphere
The atmosphere of a playoff NHL game is surreal. The same color throughout the entire arena. The loud cheers that continue for the duration of the entire game. The boo's the referee's receive when they enter the ice. Every single fan coming together to help support their favorite team in the league.
2. More Physical
Every hockey fan loves the physicality of the sport. Playoff hockey takes physicality to a whole new level.
3. Pure Talent
You get to see the best players and the best teams in the league do what they do best. The talent and skill possessed by each individual is something I have always appreciated.
4. Tailgating Events
Before each game, most arena's throughout the league put on a big tailgate beforehand. For instance, The Wells Fargo Center provides live entertainment and games for people of all ages. The adults go to the bar and listen to the music while the children get to shoot on inflatable goalies and play trivial games. Not to mention the chance to be on live television.
5. Playoff Beards
You might think hockey players are attractive now, wait until you get to see them in their playoff beards. Something every player hopes to be able to do.
6. Traditions
There are old time traditions that follow some of the teams around. If you're lucky enough to experience a live game, you might get the chance to see some of the crazy traditions: throwing a real fish on the ice, throwing a fake rat on the ice, throwing an octopus after every goal scored. It's something that every die heart fan enjoys to see.
7. Game 7
Nothing compares to a game 7. The thrill that travels through the atmosphere. The rush that the fans feel every time there's a great scoring opportunity. The adrenaline rushing through each and every player on the ice.

8. Sportsmanship
The sportsmanship throughout the league is one that is highly respectable. Many of the guys throughout the league are such close friends off the ice. Seeing them come together as one is a great scene. The handshake at the end of the series is one that hopefully will be carried on forever.
9. Stanley Cup
The amazing Stanley cup that is given to the best team within the National Hockey League is the goal of the entire season. Winning the cup is not only a prize for the team, but for the community and fans and the families of the players.
