Well, I'm here to tell you that your inner-thoughts are way wrong! If you've never been to Disney World, it really is the best, and anyone who has ever been will tell you the same thing!
Take it from an avid Disney-freak, Disney World IS the happiest place on earth, I promise! Here are ten things that could only be found at Disney World. Check them out and catch some of Disney's famous magic.
1. Characters
Let's be honest; there is no other place in the world where it would be completely acceptable to pose for an Insta pic with a person wearing a mouse mascot. At Disney World, though, it's basically a crime to leave the park without a picture of you and Mickey! The game of searching out your favorite Disney characters in hopes of meeting them is so much fun! I know it sounds silly, but it's seriously an adrenaline rush like no other.
2. Rides
Yes, Disney World is home to some of the best rides ever made. C'mon, the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Space Mountain, AND Expedition Everest. I can feel my blood pumping already! While at Disney World, you might as well ride some of the classics such as It's a Small World and the Dumbo ride, too; you'll appreciate that you did.
3. Parades
Throughout the day, there are multiple parades scheduled; don't miss them. Each and every one of the Disney parades offers their own sense of magic. If you're not all about standing in the majorly lengthy lines to meet your favorite character, this is the best way to see some of them up close! Plus, the characters involve their audience with their performance which is always fun.
4. Shops
You can't leave Disney World without a special souvenir. Hit up the many shops to find your perfect memorabilia. Seriously, you can find everything Disney here: shirts, plush toys, dog collars, and more!
5. Dole Whip
If you've never been to Disney World, you don't know what in the world a dole whip is, but the second you try one, you'll never forget the name. When you're hot and exhausted from all of the park's fun, take a much-needed break with this delicious frozen dessert. You can even add some pineapple juice to your already perfect refreshment to make it even more perfect!
6. Mickey-Shaped Treats
Nothing makes you happier than being surrounded by your fellow Disney-lovers while enjoying a Mickey-shaped treat. If you need a chilling treat, go with the Mickey-shaped ice cream. If you're in the mood for a hot treat, check out the Mickey-shaped pretzels. You're welcome.
7. Four Different Theme Parks
As if one wasn't enough, Disney World provides four choices for your park experience. There's Magic Kingdom (this is where the real Disney feeling takes place), but there's also Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Each offers a unique experience, and all are worth exploration.
8. Ears
Mickey ears are a must-have at Disney World. There's the classic choice of the original Mickey and Minnie ears, but there are so many more to choose from, too. If you love Princess Belle, there are ears for you. If you're more of a Buzz Lightyear fan, you're also covered!
9. Customized T-Shirts
Over the past several years, it has become somewhat of a Disney ritual to have personalized shirts made and sport them at the theme park. Go big or go home, right? So knock yourself out, and go crazy with it! Showcase your monogram outlined in Mickey Mouse ears, and make sure everyone in your party has one of their own! Oh, and don't forget to color-coordinate.
10. The Magical Feeling
It's the most special thing Disney World has to offer, and it's impossible to truly explain the intensity of the special feeling that will immediately take you over as soon as you step foot into one of the parks.
