Why do homework when you could binge watch Grey's??? I know you would rather watch McDreamy and McSteamy than do your lab report so I'm giving you the green light by making 10 justifications so you can watch guilt free.
1. It's a medical show so you can learn
I know that this show is mostly just drama, but hey, they do talk about medicine for about 10 minutes an episode. Seattle Grace/ Seattle Grace Mercy West/ Grey Sloan Memorial is a learning hospital. If you want to be a doctor like me, this is technically active learning. It's like you are shadowing the doctors! It's almost the same as being in the OR yourself! I think after watching enough seasons I could suture right now without supervision.
2. Episodes are generally quick
You can watch an episode in like 40-45 minutes so it really doesn't take that long. Also, if you eat dinner while watching you are a certified multitasking champion.
3. Mark Sloan
He's sexy. Enough said.
4. It's a cultural experience
Grey's Anatomy is a pop culture phenomenon so you're really just trying to connect with your peers.
5. It's the perfect stress reliever
Nothing relieves stress like watching other people who are more stressed out than you! Yes, you might be having a bad day, but the patients at Seattle Grace are having an even worse day.
6. It can improve your health
Crying is healthy for you. You can burn up to 4 calories a minute while sobbing, so it can be considered a workout. With the amount of crying you do while watching Grey's Anatomy, you could run a half-marathon by this time next year!
7. Homework won't teach you life lessons
Will homework help you decide whether or not you should cut the love of your life's LVAD wire in order to get him to the top of the heart transplant list? Didn't think so.
8. You deserve it
You work hard all week long. Give yourself this moment. You rip and run all week long. You help people and hold doors. This is time for yourself. You deserve it! Treat yo' self!
9. You don't want to be that person
You know who I'm talking about. That person who hasn't caught up to season 13 yet. Your day is going to get absolutely wrecked when people spoil entire seasons by accident. I've been that person many times and it's freaking awful. You know that thing with George? That whole situation was completely spoiled for me, and I knew what was going to happen the entire season and I was just waiting for it. Still cried, though.
10. You are a procrastinator
You aren't going to do the homework until 1 am anyway and you know it, so you might as well just enjoy yourself!
