Every character that has ever come through the amazing place of Grey Sloan is incredible. Even if they were a patient, you loved them. Even if you hate them, you still love them. Shonda Rhimes never stops destroying my soul with the ups and downs and sharp turns of the the absolute best show on television. There is a reason we are going into the 13th season still strong.

SPOILER ALERT: You have probably already heard them before, but I am just warning you.

1. All the life lessons

Derek taught us to lead and be happy. Izzy taught us to forgive. Alex taught us to accept ourselves. Christina taught us not to let anyone get in the way of accomplishing our goals, and so much more. Every character has an encouraging lesson for us to learn.

2. You fall in love with literally every character.

I don’t care if it’s your favorite character or your least favorite character, if it's the hottest guy or the weirdest girl, you are in love with all of them. You are invested in their story, and you feel like they are your best friend.. (or your husband if you are as weird as me). You deeply and truly care about everything that happens to every person that comes and goes, and it destroys you.

3. It's an emotional roller coaster.

One minute you are crying tears of sorrow, and the next they are tears of joy (Or is it just me that cries no matter what?). I have never been on such a rise and fall of emotion throughout a show, it is what keeps you invested, you are always on the edge of your seat looking to find out what happens next

4. They kill off (write out) every character you love.

This is the only show I have ever known that is not afraid to kill your most beloved character (how dare they murder Derek). But honestly don’t pretend it isn’t one of the things that keeps you watching. I understand why they do it, if an actor/actress is wanting to leave the show it's not a show where people can just leave. The character has built such a life in Seattle at Grey Sloan. All their friends and family are there, so the only reasonable way for them to depart is for them to die a horrible tragic death in a plane crash….. Right?

5. You basically become a surgeon when you watch "Greys"

Or, at least you think you do. You literally feel like you could scrub into the OR and clip an aneurysm with Dr. Shepherd. You are always saying “Yeah I saw that on an episode of "Grey’s Anatomy," I could totally do it.” Your confidence has even made you contemplate changing your major to pre-med a time or two.

6. Everyone is hot.

EVERY character on this show is hands down one of the most gorgeous people you have seen. Like, I just don’t understand. What other shows have character nick names like “McDreamy?” Think about it… Derek Shepherd, Mark sloan, Jackson Avery, Alex Karev... Need I say more?

7. Major goals.

All kinds of life goals. Friendship goals (Meredith and Christina… then Meredith and Karev). Marriage and family goals (Derek and Meredith, Jackson and April), squad goals (originals interns).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
