10 Reasons That Your Group of Girlfriends Are The Best People You Will Ever Meet

I once read somewhere that "friends are the family God lets you choose." Consider yourself extremely #blessed if you've got your rad fam of girls. Your circle of girlfriends are apart of the elite. They're different than just good friends and regular friends. These are your people. They are the keeper of all secrets and specialize in many different aspects of your life. They know every fight between you and Bae, what lipstick goes best with your skin tone, and which alcohol makes you a total witch (and they're not afraid to tell you, either.) They are your core group, your go-to's, and doing anything without them just isn't worth doing at all.

1. However you feel about your boyfriend/who you're talking to, they feel the same way about him, too. No matter what.

"Jake was such a jerk when he was around his friends last night. I can't stand him anymore. "

"Ew, he sucks. Do not text him back."

*Two days later*

"Jake watched The Notebook with me today! He is so great!"

"OMG OMG #love"

2. When one of the squad isn't acting right, you discuss said issue with the rest of the squad, then make the move for a group intervention.

"Natalie, we all agree that your attitude sucks lately."

3. You know each other's permanent drink of choice.

"I found an empty pink lemonade Burnette's bottle in the back of my car. Gotta be Hannah's."

4. You can't get their brutal honesty anywhere else.

"Olivia, you're an hour glass figure. That t-shirt dress isn't your thing."

5. You screenshot enemy's Instragrams and put them in your GroupMe for a good ole fashioned group roast.

"OMG look she thinks she's so cool."

"That bag is fake obvi."

"And that boy isn't even cute."

"#disgusted"

6. Each one is qualified in advice-giving in a different area, and you know just the one to go to each time you need help.

"If this was about a boy, I'd go to Kate, but Molly is the bomb when I'm feeling insecure."

7. Your best friends with their parents and siblings.

"Hey, I'll already be at your Mom's before you're off work, Deborah texted me and said she's making spaghetti."

8. You never have as good of a time going out when they're not with you.

"Who am I suppose to cry with in the bathroom over how much we love each other?"

9. There's power in numbers. That's why a group of best friends is way better than just one.

"Okay, I need all of your talents in helping me look bad af for this date tonight. Go through your closets and bring all make up bags."

10. You never, ever have to be alone.

"So, five out of the six have plans tonight, but still bring cookie dough and Cosmo."

Bottom line, don't take your girls for granted. They are the most special people that make your life as great as it is. Not everyone has that. All the times that your bronzer went missing and the calls at 3AM for a pick-up are more than worth it. Now that you've caught the feels, go post that picture of you all from the beach last summer and tell the world how you wish you were there.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
