I love naps. And really what I mean when I say I love naps is that I need a nap to make it through my week, whether it's during the school year and it's the middle of the semester or if I'm at home and trying to adjust to a normal sleep schedule. Because of my deep love for naps, I am a self proclaimed "nap queen." You might be a nap queen if:

1. You need a nap to survive the week.

Because how else would you get to all of your classes and club meetings on time?

2. You schedule out time for your naps.

Naps were my favorite part of Friday's this spring semester, because I knew that once I went to my early morning classes, I could go home and take a nap before conquering the day.

3. You have a favorite on-campus "nap spot."

And you frequent it often to catch a few Z's between classes.

4. You can nap anywhere.

You could be in the library, on a park bench or even the quad and still be able to take a quick power nap.

5. You take power naps because they're better than another cup of coffee.

It's super simple: a $4 Starbucks drink or a free nap. A nap is going to win almost every time.

6. "Take a nap" becomes your automatic response to everything.

Bored? Take a nap. Have time to kill? Take a nap. Out of coffee? Take a nap. Class cancelled? Take a nap. Stressed out? Take a nap.

7. You're well rested during midterms and finals week because of all of your naps.

So when you take your exam, you won't have to battle exhaustion and instead can focus on your questions.

8. When you come home for the summer, you take naps to help you adjust to going to bed before midnight and waking up by nine.

It's a whole another world when you have to wake up before noon and go to bed before 3 a.m.

9. Some naps can be a little disorienting.

And you'll think you took an hour nap when it actually was four hours.

10. But all in all, you're still ready to go back to bed.

Because with all of the time you spend in bed, it becomes second nature to sleep.

This week, I've been napping pretty much every day, getting back into the groove of things. I've established myself as a nap queen, napping pretty much everywhere in my house with my dog.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
