10 Reasons Why Group Projects are Actually the Worst

We've all been there. Your professor boldly stands at the front of your class and says the dreaded words. Yes, those words, "Group project". You, along with all your classmates, groan. Group projects are the absolute worst. And here's a complete list why.

1. Group Projects are always worth a huge chunk of your grade.

And if the project isn’t 100% perfect, you won’t pass the class

2. If they aren’t worth a huge part of your grade, then they take WAY more work than the amount of points you get

Professor: This assignment is going to take you about 40 hours to finish, but remember, it’s only worth 3% of your grade

Class: UGHHHH

3. You never get to work with the people you want to

And you always have to work with that one kid that’s failing and doesn’t care about the class at all

4. Finding a time to work with your group mates is about as difficult as breathing underwater

Because even at 2 o’clock in the morning, SOMEONE in your group has plans…

5. When you actually do get together, everything you accomplish could have been covered in an email

No one can focus, everyone talks at once, and someone is ALWAYS late.

6. The control freak that blames you for all the problems.

No, it is NOT my fault that stars did fall from the sky during the civil war, and no, I cannot change history just because you like it better.

7. There’s always that one person who doesn’t finish their part until the very last minute

The email says, “Hey, sorry guys! Hope this isn’t too late!” The clock says 11:59, the assignment is due at 12:00…and you pretty much want to strangle this person.

8. You always end up doing all the work

Of course

9. Your group project is always due the same week as four assignments, two midterms, and five club meetings. You also always have a family dinner, a dentist appointment, and your cousin’s wedding to go to.

Professors must have your calendar or something, because this is ridiculous!

10. And as soon as you are done with one group project, you get assigned another one for a different class.

Ugghhh.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
