It is the beginning of 2016 and Donald Trump is still running for president. It wasn't a joke, you guys. Between the ridiculous things he has said and the godawful hair, Trump has dominated the campaign through media. I think it is time to really sit down and look at why he would not be a good fit in the White House.
1. Donald Trump has never had to struggle to get where he is today.
He received a “small” loan of $1 million. That doesn’t seem too small to me. I would actually be very happy with $1 million.
2. Trump has never had to listen to anybody.
For years, Donald Trump has built an empire around his name. He has never had to listen to anybody, and he has called the shots. As many people say, a President is only as good as his advisers. Trump will probably not listen to those advisers, at all.
3. He thinks of America as a business.
The last time I checked, America isn’t a business. It’s a country with more rules and regulations than Wall Street. He can’t just file bankruptcy and expect to be bailed out by the government; mainly because he is the government.
4. He uses this campaign for press.
This campaign is such a good PR stunt for him. People are talking about him constantly, and it is just generating more money and press for him.
5. Trump thinks that he is God’s gift to the world.
“I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created, I’ll tell you that.” There you go, people. Donald was put on this earth to create jobs. Let’s just be thankful that it wasn’t to fix peoples’ hair.
6. He believes that he can do no wrong.
“I can shoot someone and wouldn’t lose any voters.” OK, Trump, you may not lose any voters, but you may be in prison for Election Day. The last time I checked, correctional facilities do not have oval offices.
7. Trump uses his money as the basis of all arguments.
You know how there is always that obnoxious person who has money and shows it off all the time? That is Trump, except on a larger scale. He will not be using his savings account to pay the military budget, so there is no reason for him to flaunt his money during a Presidential campaign.
8. He is rude, racist, and has no moral standing.
I think this one speaks for itself. Trump has called Hispanic immigrants drug dealers and rapists. He wants to ban people who practice Islam from coming to the United States. He has said so many horrible things about groups of people that it is hard to keep count. It sounds a lot like a horrible person we learned about in history class.
9. He lies, almost constantly.
Check his Politifact profile. Out of all of his statements, only one percent has been proven true.
10. Trump is going to get “things” done.
Trump never specifies what he is going to do, or how he plans on doing them. He just says that he will get things done very quickly. I would like to know what those “things” are.
