10 Reasons Why Being In A Relationship Is Like Owning A Puppy

When I first got my puppy, I thought to myself, "Nothing could be more high maintenance than this cute little guy." However, then I got a boyfriend. Owning a dog and having a boyfriend are pretty much one in the same. Here are 10 reasons why having a boyfriend is a lot like taking care of a small puppy.

1. They both have the "puppy eyes." Mastering the "puppy eyes" in a relationship is key. Just like your dog, these eyes basically can get you whatever you want.

2. They both are always wanting to play. Having a significant other requires a lot of energy. Just like having a puppy, your partner is always going to be bugging you to entertain them.

3. They both will secretly go to the bathroom in the house. All dog owners know that look your dog flashes after they have accidentally relieved themselves in the house. This look is pretty similar to the same look your partner gives after they have just taken a dump in your bathroom.

4. They both are always ready to eat. I don't know if there is scientific proof of this, but I'm pretty positive that when people are in a relationship they are always hungry. Just like my puppy, I'm constantly trying to get my boyfriend to buy me food.

5. They have a mean bark. Whenever you aren't giving either of them attention they are going to snap at you.

6. Chasing them when they run away. Even if you are on and off all the time, you know they will always come back.

7. You can tell them anything. A dog will love you no matter what, and so should a good boyfriend.

8. Guard dog or boyfriend? Because you know they will always have your back.

9. They both always want affection. Their tails are always wagging.

10. The best of friends. Enough said.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
