So that time of year has come again! It is the time of year where a small northern Michigan town has a big time festival. Venetian in the town of Charlevoix is the event of the year, that all should come to. This week, from July 16-23 Charlevoix hosts its 86th venetian festival.

1. Street Parade

Watch the safety cars run their sirens, festival queens wave, clowns be silly and floats pass at the downtown parade.

2. Tons of games and tournaments

Gather your friends and make a team to participate in one of the many Venetian Games. From beach volleyball to basketball, horseshoe and more, you can find a sport or event you like.

3. Carnival

Who doesn't love to play carnival games and ride the ferris wheel?

4. Concerts

A wide range of music groups play in the bandshell downtown for free concerts.

5. Food Trucks

Don't forget to grab an elephant ear or a yummy lobster roll!

6. Beer Tents

For those 21+ beer and tiki tents are set up in the parks for a good time.

7. Fireworks

Two nights! Both Friday and Saturday Charlevoix has a wonderful display of fireworks.

8. Boat Parade


Watch the decorated boats cruise all around Round Lake before the fireworks.

9. Kids Day

Bring the kids down to Michigan Beach for tons of activities Thursday.

10. Aquapalooza

A super fun beach party for the whole town.
