Dads have always taken over the hearts of their little girls, leaving Mom a little jealous. As you grow up, you realize both parents are just as special as the other and your love for them both is unconditional. Though this is true, dads will always hold a special place that no one else could fulfill.
1. He's capable of kicking butt if anyone tries to hurt me.
Mom may be willing as well, but Dad will always be the first one to stand up ready to fight (metaphorically, of course) when someone breaks his little girl’s heart. In fact, the threat was already made beforehand so your date knew exactly what he was getting himself into if he were to mess up.
2. He says "Yes" before mom can say "No."
“Dad, can I have ice cream for dinner?” “Sure! Just don’t tell your mother.”
I think this pretty much sums it up
3. He is always my number one fan at sporting events.
Dads are #1 when it comes to watching sports, especially when their girl is the one playing them! They may get a little loud at times, but honestly, it’s just in their nature. When I score, I can always count on my dad to be the loudest one in the stands.
4. He thinks I'm the best at everything.
Even if I’m the worst one on the team, Dad will still brag about how I’m the best. And if someone else happens to do better than me, well they just got lucky that time.
5. He understands more than anyone why I need that pair of shoes.
If you’re ever out shopping and you see something that you are dying to have, just thank God that you’re with Dad and not Mom.
6. He gives the best advice.
Since he’s a guy, Dad usually knows how boys think. He knows just how to steer you in the right direction when it comes to teenage boys. Even though you probably won’t listen to him at first (because every girl loves a bad boy), as you get older you’ll start to take his advice more seriously.
7. He sets the standards for the boys I date.
If your boyfriend doesn’t treat you like a princess the way your dad does, he’s no good. Dad has made it very clear that I am royalty and I refuse to be treated as anything less.
8. He has the best shoulder to cry on.
Dads are always there for their kids. When it comes to their little girl, they have the best shoulder to cry on. I can tell my dad just about anything, and I know that he will always be there for me.
9. He is supportive in everything I do.
No matter what I do, my dad supports my decisions. He goes along with all of my crazy, spontaneous ideas and encourages me to always try my best. Without his love and support, I wouldn't be half the person I am today.
10. He loves me unconditionally, no matter what.
And vice versa. A dad’s love is a special kind of love. No matter what, I know my dad will always be there for me and have my back about everything.
Thanks for everything you do, Dad. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
