If you're like me, makeup is one of the last things on my mind when I wake up for class. Or it's the "either hair or face" gets done. Sorry, but I don't have the time or sanity to deal with both today.
You could be that girl (me) who walks into Sephora with no makeup on, then walks out looking like a drag queen, but could never afford the products. (Also me.)
Don't worry, I was as clueless as anyone when it came to products and I thought expensive always meant better.
So coming from one broke and clueless makeup lover I will give you my favorite products to help you achieve that perfect glow that won't break the bank and give you the best bang for your buck.

1. Two words: Jaclyn Hill.
The Beyonce of makeup. I know this isn't a product but this is the first step to become seasoned in makeup. She will teach you to contour like a Kardashian, highlight like a queen, and blend those harsh lines till your fingers bleed. Not only is she an amazing makeup artist, but she is hilarious and so relatable. I spent most of my Friday nights watching her YouTube channel like a series I would binge watch on Netflix.
2. Colour Pop
Because who doesn't love $5 lipsticks and eyeshadows? You will never find a drug store product as cheap and as high quality. I have not found a product I haven't fallen in absolute love with from Colour Pop. The eye shadow is a creamy texture and something I had never experimented with, but I am now a firm believer. It blends so well and it stays on all day long. Personally my favorite products are their Lippie Sticks and highlighter. The matte Lippie Sticks are not drying on the lips so it feels like you are wearing a nice chapstick. The highlighters have a creamy base which makes them stick to the skin and shimmer all day. And the best part is you get $5 off your first purchase!
3. Morphe Brushes
No one wants to spend 100s of dollars on brushes. Morphe offers quality brushes for an affordable price. They also sell eyeshadow palettes for under $30 that are highly pigmented.
4. Ipsy
For only $10 a month they will send you a glam bag full of high end makeup, skincare, hair products, and makeup brushes. They fill your bag with products designed for your style and skin type. It's like Christmas every month!
5. MAC Fix+ Spray
Use this under your makeup or on top of your foundation to achieve the perfect dewy finish. You can get a huge bottle for $22 that will last forever! It is also great for glitter shadows. Just spray it on the brush and it will make the eyeshadow tacky enough to stay on your lid.
6. Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
If you are like me, fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes do not do well with bronzers. I always come out with an orangey tint which does not look good when you attempt that Kardashian contour. This is the only bronzer that I have found that is a natural color on my skin. I felt $30 dollars was a little steep for a bronzer, but I'm hooked. It comes with a cute little contouring brush so how could you not!
7. Beauty Blender
I use this for every single liquid foundation and cheek stain. I run it under warm water and squeeze it 15-20 times then ring it out on a towel. It presses the makeup into the face giving a nice natural and dewy finish. It doesn't leave streaks like a foundation brush and it is very durable. I have used the same beauty blender for two years and it is still in perfect condition.
8. L'Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion

This is an awesome light/medium coverage foundation for an everyday look. I have extremely sensitive skin and this is the only drugstore foundation that hasn't broken my face out. It leaves a nice moisturized finish to the face and it's an easy application with a damp beauty blender.
9. Coastal Scents 252 Ultimate Palette
I bought this palette a few weeks ago and I am in love. You will never need another eyeshadow palette because it has every color you could ever imagine. They are the most pigmented eyeshadows I have ever owned. They have shimmer and matte shadows with neutral colors and neons. So this palette will fit any mood.
10. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
This is the best setting spray that I have used. It keeps your makeup on all day no matter what the day might hit you with. It helps keep the splotchy or separation that forms throughout the day to a minimum.
