Instagram is a picture-sharing mobile application that's full of selfies, food pictures, and a plethora of other pictorial subjects that give you insight in day-to-day life. But, what about pets? Give a pet an Instagram, get hundreds and thousands of followers, they say.

My Instagram feed is chock-full of animal pictures and the majority of the accounts I follow are pets, and seeing the newest picture of Marnie, Grumpy Cat, Kooty or any of the others always brightens my day. Here are the cutest of the cute accounts, ones that you should definitely follow for a touch of adorableness in your day:

1. @sofluffyragdolls

Having found their popularity on Reddit, Lily (left) and Achilles (right) are two gorgeous Ragdoll kittens who are always getting into some sort of trouble. Their Instagram account is filled with pictures of these two cute cats, whether they're posing for the camera, being goofy, playing or sleeping.

2. @marniethedog

If you're into the pet-Instagram scene, chances are that you have heard of / already follow Marnie's account. Having received her popularity due to this Vine, she went from 0 to 1.2 million followers in just a day. She's certainly captivated audiences with her floppy tongue and leaning head, and she proves that a 13-year old senior dog can be just as cute as a puppy!

3. @marutaro

Regarded as the "most popular dog on Instagram," Maru Taro is a seven-year old Shiba Inu from Japan with 2.1 million followers. A playful and sleepy pup, Maru is all-smiles all the time. He's sure to brighten your day with his photogenic eyesmile and adorable pictures!

4. @loki_the_wolfdog

Loki is a two-year-old Husky, Arctic Wolf, and Malamute mix, aka a "wolf dog". Famous for his pictures of him and his owner, Kelly Lund, traveling the world, camping and hiking together, this huge dog has gathered over 700 thousand followers in less than a year. Wolf dogs require tons of exercise in order to get rid of their abundance of energy, so Loki and his owner frequently go on outdoor adventures together and their pictures are sure to make you smile!

5. @petland.kennesaw

Known as the number one stress relief spot in Kennesaw for KSU students, Petland Kennesaw recently got their own Instagram page! Here, they post pictures of the current puppies, kittens and other animals they have in store! It's like a mini-preview before you go, and all of these pictures are absolutely adorable with their themed props (they recently just put up their Christmas one)! Seeing these cuties on your Instagram feed will make you almost as happy as seeing them in-store.

6. @jiffpom

The cutest Pomeranian known for his record of being the fastest dog to walk on his hind legs, Jiff looks like a living teddy bear! He's gathered a whopping 1.9 million followers on Instagram, and he's not just internet-famous — he's an actor, too. He was in Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" music video!

7. @realgrumpycat

This wouldn't be a list of internet-famous cats and dogs without Grumpy Cat on it. Real name Tardar Sauce, she's gathered over a million followers on Instagram alone for her signature grouchy features and stumpy legs. Though she's famous for grumpy memes, Tardar Sauce has an undeniably adorable look that is sure to make your day so much brighter (even though she might hate it).

8. @kootythecat

Nicknamed the "owl cat", Kooty is a fluffy and gorgeous Persian black cat with captivating golden eyes. She's not as famous as the other pets listed on here — she only has 70,000 followers — but she's quickly gaining her fame with her furball pictures!

9. @beanzhart

As famous Youtuber Mamrie Hart's dog, Beanz Hart is a fabulous diva dog with the same floppy tongue as another internet famous dog (Marnie). She's got a sassy personality and a cute look to top it all off, and while some may regard her as "ugly" due to her hairless body, her look will surely grow on you and soon you'll be calling her adorable too!

10. @lilothehusky

The name of this Instagram is somewhat of a lie — while you get Lilo the husky, you also get two other cuties: Infinity the husky and Rosie the cat-dog. Raised among the two huskies, Rosie is an adorable kitten who acts like a puppy (as you might've seen here). Following them and seeing their gorgeous looks and Rosie's cute antics are sure to make you smile for a while!

All in all, a list of just 10 doesn't cover the sheer amount of the cutest animals on Instagram!
