There are many places in the world that people say you must visit. These ten places are a must go-to if you happen to be visiting the Chester County area.

1. Downtown West Chester

From Mas' rooftop Mexican grille to Kiwi's frozen yogurt, you can find places to eat left and right while shopping in unique boutiques and record, antique, and furniture stores. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a specialty cupcake at Dia Doce's coffee and cupcake bar. The historic town has stories dating all the way back to the late 1700's when it was founded and is beautiful during every season.

2. Brandywine Battlefield

Brandywine Battlefield Historic Site is a park part of the site of the Battle of Brandywine fought on September 11, 1777. This battle occurred during the American Revolution! This battlefield became a Pennsylvania State Park in 1949 and as of 1961, a National Historic Landmark. A definite must-see if you enjoy historic landscapes.

3. West Chester Restaurant Festival

Don't pretend that this didn't make you excited. Yes, a restaurant festival! Filled with over 60 restaurants and food vendors, activities, live music, contests, culinary cook-offs, beer and wine garden, and more. Bring friends, family, significant others, and even your pets to enjoy a day full of fun.

4. Baldwin's Book Barn

Definitely for book lovers! Find vintage, rare, used, and out of print books within the five floors of the 1822 barn. Located off of Lenape road in West Chester!

5. Carlinos

Italian lovers paradise! Carlinos is an Italian market filled with fresh tomato pies and must-try cannoli's. Spend lunch at this place and you'll find amore!

6. Riggtown Oven

This little, hidden West Chester gem is full of amazing pizza, hoagies, breakfast sandwiches and more to satisfy your cravings throughout the whole day. Popular to all ages from children to college students and adults, you'll find yourself running into friendly faces and an irresistible menu.

7. Highland Orchards

Fresh produce, apple picking, and apple cider donuts at their amazing bakery is just the beginning to this orchard. Come fall there are plenty of reasons to visit when pumpkins are grown and corn mazes are put together. This orchard was established in 1941 and is "still growing".

8. Longwood Gardens

With acres upon acres of beautiful, wild flowers and bright, enchanting lights, you're bound to create memories that'll last a lifetime. Enjoy an ice cream cone in the summer or a cup of hot chocolate in the winter while you walk around and enjoy the scenery!

9. QVC

Take a tour at this TV studio! QVC's girlfriends weekend and studio store are just two of the many reasons you should definitely put this place in your planner. 10. Marsh Creek
