Is your dad's birthday fast approaching, and you have no idea what to get him? Is his birthday in eight months, and you're trying to plan ahead so that you're not getting him the same last-minute set of golf balls as last year? Consider buying him a DVD this time around. Nothing says, "Congrats on another year spent with me," like sitting down on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and one of these 10 great flicks.

1. Remember the Titans

This movie is the biggest feel-good movie in the history of feel-good movies. Absolutely nothing beats this true story of integration in football in Alexandria, Va. Louie Lastik and Petey Jones will have your dad laughing, and Bill Yoast will have him saying, "You cannot replace a Gary Burteer," for the rest of your lives. And, who doesn't love a little Marvin Gaye.

2. Kicking and Screaming

This Will Ferrell movie will have your dad laughing out loud for the full hour and 35 minutes. This is the best choice for dads who hate serious movies, and if you want your bonding time with him to be spent in high spirits. Just remember, "Meat first, then soccer!"

3. Holes

This is an oldie, but a goody. Your dad will appreciate seeing Shia LeBeouf before he was famous, and will probably think that everything Armpit says and does is hilarious. While you watch it with him, remember to thank him for not naming you Stanley Yelnats IV.

4. The Blind Side

Sandra Bullock absolutely slays in her role as Leigh Anne Tuohy. This true story of Michael Oher's life makes a great gift for any football fanatic dads out there. He'll love you for remembering his favorite sport.

5. Napoleon Dynamite

A movie literally about absolutely nothing at all, this one is perfect for a dad who wants a relaxed night in with his favorite child (you). Vote for Pedro!

6. St. Vincent

If you want to get your dad a more serious movie, look no further than the unlikely pair of Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy. This story will warm your dad's heart, and remind you both how lucky you are to have each other in your lives.

7. My Cousin Vinny

Vincent Gambini's one-liners will have your dad chuckling until the end. This is another one of those movies that's essentially about nothing at all, but is still somehow completely captivating. Vinny the lawyer is a character like no other.

8. Hoosiers

Another one of the best feel-good sports movies out there, hands down. If you're getting tired of buying him football movies, consider switching up the sports with "Hoosiers." Gene Hackman kills it.

9. The Proposal

An unlikely entry, perhaps, but not one you should overlook. If your dad is a fan of romantic comedies, this is the gem for him. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are a great duo, and no one can trash talk a movie with Betty White in it.

10. Grown Ups

We're back to the "stupid comedy" category that most dads love. Adam Sandler steals the show in this movie, but it definitely helps having an all-star cast of Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade by your side.

Happy shopping! Your dad will surely love anything you get him because remember: When it comes to gift-giving, it's the thought that counts.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
