It's that time of the semester again: the sun is out, the list of assignments is dwindling (or expanding) and motivation is plummeting to an all time low. In the spirit of the intense period of suffering that is the final weeks of the semester, I've compiled a playlist of jams that may or may not help you make it through until the end.
1. "The Final Countdown" - Europe
Relevant ... is it not? Blast that '80s synth and drift away ... to the library to cram for those finals of course.
2. "Survivor" – Destiny’s Child
I have a challenge for you: after every paper you hand in, have an all out jam session to this song. Ready ... go!
3. "Move Along" – All American Rejects
As the semester winds down, it may seem like your hope is gone. Remember to move along!
4. "That I Would Be Good" – Alanis Morisette
During this stressful time, it's important to remember that it's okay to not be perfect. You will still be good, even if these last few weeks don't go as planned.
5. "Can’t Complain" – Relient K
While things might not always go as planned, it's important to be grateful for the things that do.
6. "Stand By You" – Rachel Platten
It's imperative to remember that you aren't the only one who might be having a rough few weeks. Make sure you stand by those with whom you are close!
7. "Say" – John Mayer
With another year in college coming to a close, this might be the time to come clean about things that have been weighing you down. Bite the bullet, get them off your chest, and say what you need to say! Summer can be longer than you think.
8. "Livin’ On A Prayer" – Bon Jovi
...Because who isn't at this point?
9. "Elastic Heart" – Sia
You are stronger than you think. You can make it through!
And another class bites the dust....
10. "I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)" - Meatloaf
Try singing the alternate lyrics for this one: "I would do anything for a degree -- but I won't do that!"
