It's almost that time of year again! You're trying to get your life together and pack up your entire room into a few boxes. The excitement of what the year may bring is giving you pure joy and you're ready to start this next chapter! If this is your senior year, like me, you're thinking about all the things left on the bucket list to check off before your college years are long gone. Going back to college is the absolutely best for so many reasons, but here are 10 in particular that I love.

1. The Amazing Reunions

*SHRIEKS* You haven't seen your college besties all summer and this is the time for your epic reunion!! There will be plenty of hugs, shouting and uncontrollable smiling. Once you've finished the hug-fest, it's time to go get a meal and catch up on all your crazy summers.

2. Getting to Decorate Your New Room

Having the chance to decorate a room with all your favorite things is a great feeling! Especially when people walk in your room and you get compliments on how awesome it looks. Getting to coordinate what the room with look like with your future roomie is super exciting or even better, if you have a single you get the freedom to decorate it exactly to your liking. Don't hold back, throw all your favorite things together and make it a place you can call home!

3. Not Having to Worry About Meals

Amen for meal plans, am I right? Knowing your options are limited on campus helps the whole process of figuring what to eat for your next meal. You know you have access to food pretty much all day and night, which can potentially be dangerous but at least you know you'll be fed! Not having to cook ever, if you don't want to, is a pretty good feeling. If you're lucky enough to have a car on campus or an awesome friend to drive you..eating off campus can be a nice treat as well!

4. No Parentals

Hallelujah! Finally some freedom. No more nagging and bugging you about things you need to do or get done. It's nice to be able to go out without having to answer a million questions about where you're going, with who, when you'll be home and the classic "behave!" to end the 20 questions game. Don't get me wrong it's nice to have our parents to lean on, but being on your own time and living with your friends is so much more relaxing.

5. Endless Sleepovers with Best Friends

It's seriously the best feeling knowing some of your best friends are just a few steps away! If you live in the same apartment, dorm or house...BONUS-- it's like one big sleepover every night. Crack out the chip and dip, ice cream, candy, Cosmopolitan Magazine and heart to hearts! Nothing better than a girls night.

6. Starting Up Events with Clubs/Fraternities/Sororities

The excitement is so real, I feel you Zac Efron!!! Finally time to be back with all your brothers and sisters. It's the best having a big second family to lean on. Who's ready for chapter, service, formals, parties and fun? S/O to my amazing APO chapter and my awesome little!

7. Free Access to a Gym/Group Classes

Even though you're paying a pretty penny for your tuition, it's nice not having to remember to pay the gym bill. Finally, now all your friends go to the same gym and you can have numerous gym buddies. Nothing like calling up the squad to get a good gym session in. Also, now there's no excuse to skip out on the gym when it's right on campus!

8. Back-to-School Shopping

Back-to-school shopping is the best excuse ever to go buy an entire new wardrobe. Who cares about the school material you need, it's all about the clothing, dorm essentials and shoes.

9. The Endless Parties/Activities

From the beautiful lyrics by Asher Roth, "Man I love college." Well, you know the rest...do something crazy, do something crazy! Get ready for some wild nights with your pals that will make for the funniest stories in the morning and great memories.

10. Getting to Make New Friends

College is the best time to put yourself out there and meet new people. It's so nice being able to have a conversation with someone and just feel that immediate connection, like "wow this person is awesome and I want to be their friend." The people you meet in college will truly be some of your life long friends.

Best of luck in your school year! Work hard but most importantly remember to have some fun!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
