1. Candy

There are many creative ways to do this. You could make a candy bouquet or creatively packing them favorite candies in something. This is a great gift because it will show how much you pay attention to what kind of candies they like and dislike.

2. Flowers

This doesn't mean you have to go out and buy them a dozen roses or an orchard (because boy those are expensive) but a half a dozen roses or even very pretty carnations would do just fine. Pick flowers that their favorite colors or colors that have deep meaning in your relationship.

3. Scrapbook

This is a very sweet idea because you can fill it with your favorite photos of the two of you or with photos representing for relationship milestones. It could be cheap too because some websites such as shutter fly often do free prints where all you have to do is pay for shipping. You can buy a cheap photo album or sketch book and add the pictures to it with some scrapbooking paper.

4. Cooking Dinner

This is a great idea because instead of going out and being in a crowded restaurant that could possibly turn out bad, you could stay at home and cook dinner for your significant other. This is a gift, especially if you don't do it very often. So crack open that bottle of wine and enjoy a nice fancy dinner at home!

5. Movie Night

Instead of trying to go see a movie, in another crowded place, why not kick your feet up and enjoy a nice movie marathon from the comfort of your own home? Pick your favorites and your love's favorites, hang out in your pjs and cuddle up watching movies all day. It doesn't seem like much, but to others, it could be a perfect gift because they get to spend all that time with the person who means the most to them.

6. Photo in a Picture Frame

This one is simple yet meaningful, especially if you don't have many photos together. You can buy a decently nice frame or you can buy a plan one and decorate it. As for the picture, it doesn't cost much to print out a single photograph. Print out their favorite photo and put in the frame, wrap it up and voila, a simple, yet sentimental gift.

7. Wine

I mean really, who doesn't love wine? You can get some nice wine for not so expensive prices either. Wine is good for just about any occasion, especially if you pick something that the person you are giving it to loves. So make sure you pay attention to their particular taste in wine. Do they like dry wines, or sweet wines? Do they like something really fruity or something more rich? Hopefully you know the answer.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
