10 Cities You Have To Visit

Traveling is one of the things that people say that they regret the most not doing when they were younger. This is one thing that I can say that I agree with. When I am older I wanna be able to look back and think to myself that I traveled the most when I had the chance. Now, there are so many great places that you can travel to and from, but my all time favorite travel spots is cities. There is just so much to do and so much to see it never gets old! Plus, each city has their own history, so every time you go to a new city you are never seeing the same thing. Lets start out with some of my favorite cities here in the U.S. and some of the obvious!

1. New York City

Everyone wants to come to NYC once in their life, it's on everyone's bucket list. It's one of the greatest cities in the world! With it's amazing buildings and and incredible shopping New York City is a top travel destination. Once you make it in New York you can just about make it anywhere. Plus, there is an abundance of things to do, from visiting Times Square, shopping in Soho, taking a stroll through Central Park or even visiting the World Trade Center. The possibilities are endless in New York!

2. Chicago

Most people know Chicago for their brutal winters and the giant Bean sculpture, but their is so much more to Chicago than just that. Not only are their buildings incredible, but Chicago is probably one of the cleanest cities I have ever been too! Chicago is home to some of the tallest buildings in the world and architecture around the Downtown area is amazing! Not only if you go to Chicago do you get a city life, but you can also experience the beach at their lake beaches that they have!

3. Los Angeles

Los Angeles is mostly known as Hollywood, where all your favorite celebrities live and work. Well not only that but Los Angeles is a great place to visit because it has so many different tourist attractions! They have a crazy amount of shopping for all you shopaholics out there, you can catch one of those silly celebrity tours, you can even go visit a TV set or go see a live taping of a show! In Los Angeles the list of things to do goes on and on you will just have to go back to get it all in!

4. Sydney, Australia

Sydney has been on my bucket list of places I have to visit for years! From the great Sydney Opera House to Bondi Beach there is so much to explore down under. Depending on the season you can go scuba diving in the summer and explore the cities amazing art and culture in the winter!

5. Rome, Italy

I had the chance to visit Rome a few summers ago and besides eating 13 cups of their amazing gelato in 3 days, Rome is probably one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. With seemingly endless sights, sounds and tastes, you will definitely be planning your return trip before you even get home!

6. Paris, France

Paris is another place that I got the chance to visit and I can surely say that it did not disappoint. From sitting in the city eating pastries with the Eiffel Tower in view, to shopping on the most expensive street, to taking in the captivating art the Louvre has to offer. Paris is a place you will want to return to again and again.

7. London, England

Out of all the places i have visited London has got to be one of my favorites. London has so much to offer from their great fashion, to art and entertainment, there is always something to be doing. The London Eye gives you a great view of the whole city and while you're there you can go visit all the places where your favorite Harry Potter movies were filmed.

8. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is just one of those places that has it all, from the sunny beaches, to the mountains, to the historic sites to the contemporary, Barcelona seems to have everything we could ever want! You can brush up on your history with a history tour or learn about some of the amazing art with a street art tour!

9. Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Canals, cheese, cycling, art and the windmills are all what make Amsterdam so amazing. From taking a relaxing ride up and down the canals, to cycling through the city Amsterdam has it all. You can enjoy fabulous cheese and wine at any of the restaurants. Plus, once you're done you can end your evening at the bench from the Fault In Our Stars.

10. Vienna, Austria

Vienna is Austria's capital and largest city, plus it is packed with culture. From it's musical foundations to their colorful buildings Vienna certainly has it's own character. You can taste some of Vienna's specialty dishes or just take a walk around town to get the great vibes Vienna gives off!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
