I have an obsession with Christmas movies. I usually start watching them in the middle of November. They're on while I'm having morning coffee, studying, getting ready for bed...basically all day every day until December 25. Here are 10 of my favorites:
10. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"
I highly recommend this Christmas classic that involves a cynical green (I'm not sure what he actually is) and an adorable little girl.
9. "The Santa Clause"
Tim Allen magically becomes Santa Claus in a very unfortunate way. There are two sequels to this movie, but the first is undoubtedly the best.
8. "Miracle on 34th Street"
A department store Santa Claus claims to be the real thing. This 1947 film features a young Natalie Wood and looks at the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a little girl.
7. "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
6. "The Polar Express"

5. "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"
If you want to laugh until you have real tears and your stomach hurts, this is the Christmas movie for you.
4. "Elf"
The adventures of Buddy the elf after he leaves the North Pole and goes on a quest to find his father. Another movie that will seriously have you laughing til it hurts.
3. "A Christmas Story"
Nine-year-old Ralphie recounts his Christmas experience in his own unique way. This movie is usually on for the entirety of Christmas day, and I usually watch it at least twice.
2. "Home Alone"
Kevin's family accidentally leaves him home alone for Christmas and he wards off thieves that target his wealthy neighborhood. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.
1. "It's A Wonderful Life"
This movie, filmed in 1946, chronicles the challenges of an angel who is sent down to show a businessman what life would be like if he never existed. This is not only my favorite Christmas movie but also my favorite of all time.
