If you know me, I am a MASSIVE book nerd. My bookcase is overflowing, I have two boxes filled to the brim and I currently have two piles as tall as my puggle of books waiting to be read. I just keep accumulating even when I have a lot I haven't touched yet... I CAN'T HELP IT, OK!

Check out some of my current favorite books! They range far and wide in genres, but that's alright!

1. “I’ll Give You The Sun” by Jandy Nelson

A great book to read regarding sibling relationships and realizing who you are, this book pulls you in within sentences.

2. “Z” by Therese Anne Fowler

Zelda Fitzgerald, wife of author F. Scott Fitzgerald shows us who she is. I read this book within two days, Y'all.

3. “You Are A Badass” by Jen Sincero

Well, this is obviously a must-read. Sincero will give you all the confidence.

4. “The Sun And Her Flowers” by Rupi Kaur

Rupi Kaur does it again with this new book of hers. Famous for her work “Milk and Honey”, this new poetic novel will reel you in.

5. “The Paris Wife” by Paula McLain

So maybe I’m a bit of a history nerd… This also explores the life of an author’s wife, Hadley Hemingway. I also read through this one without blinking, and I loved seeing the “behind the scenes” of Hemingway and Hadley’s influence. She fascinated me to no end.

6. “Green Girl” by Kate Zambrano

If you’re looking for a different kind of book, I recommend this. The format itself is interesting because it goes back and forth between poetry and prose form. Ruth, the main character, makes your feelings go all sorts of ways.

7. “The Woman In Cabin 10” by Ruth Ware

Alright, thriller/mystery peeps, this one’s for you. This novel only reinforced my fear of cruises… but so worth the read.

8. “Misery” by Stephen King

This was actually my first Stephen King book to ever read, and it did not disappoint. The movie made after it, starring Kathy Bates, is something to watch as well. “Misery” just made me want to read more of King.

9. “Daughter of Deep Silence” by Carrie Ryan

A revenge thriller at its finest, this novel gives you all the feels. They say to never judge a book by its cover, but I could tell from the outside that the inside was phenomenal, And it was!

10. “It’s Kind Of A Funny Story” by Ned Vizzini

For those who enjoy tearjerkers, this is for you. Make sure to check out the movie, too!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
