As college students, we become busy, stressed, overwhelmed, and caught up. Between classes, school work, extracurricular activities, clubs, social events, and friends, it’s easy to lose sight of what really matters to each and every one of us. Regardless of what one believes in, we all believe in something. Faith is a very important aspect of all of our lives that we know we can always turn to in times of need. Whenever we need some inspiration, some explanation that days will get better, or just some reassurance, the Bible will always be there to turn to. For every situation, there is a verse and an answer that will guide you in the right direction.
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”-Ephesians 5:15-16
We are young and have so much time that can’t be wasted. We all need to make the most of every opportunity that we have. Life is short and flashes by us so quickly. We need to give it all we have and live in a way that we will look back on and be left in awe.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”-Philippians 4:6-9
So often in our busy lives we become stressed and overwhelmed. Step back, take a minute, and say a prayer. Know that He is always listening.
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”-Philippians 4:13
Even when you feel weak and feel like no one is supporting you, He believes in you. You have strength woven throughout you and no matter who tells you that you can’t do something, you can do anything.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”-Isaiah 41:10
As college students, we all have worries in life. Whether you might be worried about failing a test, how an upcoming interview will go, or if that cute boy in your class likes you or not, just know that He is here to help and will always be here to help.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”-Jeremiah 29:11
Even when life seems to be tough and it seems like everything's falling apart, just know that He has plans for you. Your life is perfectly crafted and created in His vision and everything in your life happens for a reason. Have faith in His plan.
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”-1 Corinthians 16:13
No matter what happens, never forget what you stand for and what your values are. Values guide us in life and are something that we can always rely on and lean back on. Be strong in who you are.
"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."-1 Corinthians 13:7
No matter who loves you in life or who doesn’t, love everything and everyone. Those who love will have a more fulfilling and much better life than those who don’t.
“It is not fancy hair, gold jewelry, or fine clothes that should make you beautiful. No, your beauty should come from within you- the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. This beauty will never disappear and it is worth very much to God.”-1 Peter 3:3-4
Anytime you feel that you’re not pretty enough or not as attractive as others, know that you were made in His image. You don’t need to be made pretty in any way, you are so beautiful as your pure and genuine self. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
“You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgement on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgement do the same things.”-Romans 2:1
Although the temptation of gossip and judgement is always in the air, remember who you are. You are not benefiting yourself by passing judgement on others, but only hurting yourself and those around you.
"Be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead."-Peter 1:6
Ultimately know, all the greatest days are ahead of us. There is so much to look forward to and so much life to live.
Always remember who you are, what you stand for, and that your faith will always be there for you.
