10 Bad Habits Of Mine

    1. I always have to look at myself when I pass a mirror, but isn’t that what mirrors are made for?

    2. I have a staring problem. I may have a case of RBF (Resting B**** Face). I really just enjoy people watching. Half the time I’m just looking at people’s wardrobe. “I like that vest!” “Cool color choice.” “WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?”

    3. This is for my readers over 21: I have a tendency to always buy everyone shots at the bar. When I am standing at the bar with my friends and the liquor is going through my blood stream, I start feeling so giving. What better way to show some gratitude to people than buying them shots, at least that's what's going through my mind. I like to see people have a good time even if it ends up being my mom’s credit card that’s paying for it… (VERY bad habit, surprise mom).

    4. I can get "gangsta" in “2.5 seconds” with anyone that rubs me the wrong way. The real question is if it really does only take that long for someone to get crazy. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people are disrespectful or stuck up… but this is a story that I can explain another time.

    5. I find myself giving people the best advice that I know I am not doing for myself. I don’t care who you are, but I feel like everyone has been guilty of being a little hypocritical with giving certain advice.

    6. I unfortunately have a problem with talking with food in my mouth. I mentally think that I’m a pro at hiding my food while I'm talking, but I’m really not fooling anyone. Everyone can probably see the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese in my mouth.

    7. I am guilty when it comes to hogging the covers. I mean this is only a bad habit because you can cause your friend to be severely upset with you in the morning. If you don’t mind the complaints in the morning, then ignore my listed bad habit.

    8. Making people repeat themselves because I was too busy texting on my phone, checking social media, emails, or just trying to avoid talking about the person’s story in general. I feel bad doing this to my friends or family. Personally I do not like being ignored and especially if I told a serious story to someone and they didn't hear a word I said. I am actually getting better at being less distracted when someone is talk to me.

    9. Interrupting people talking! I sometimes get so caught up in my own little world I forget to stop and listen to others rather than ramble on about myself. Back to a previous bad habit of talking with my mouth full, I don’t like to miss out on any interesting conversations with my friends. Considering that my memory is not the best, when I have a thought that sparks in my mind, I automatically interrupt anyone to get it out.

    10. This may fall more into clumsiness than a bad habit, but I sometimes try to use bigger words that don’t make sense in what I’m trying to say. I probably couldn’t even tell you the definition to some of the words I try to use. I mean it's a learning experience people. Correct me if I'm wrong, no judgement here!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
