Do you often find yourself jumping from Facebook, to Tumblr, to Amazon, and then back to Facebook again, searching hopelessly for something new? Well have no fear, for I have scoured every corner of the internet searching for something new for you to break the endless cycle of boring familiar websites. These 10 websites I have chosen range from crazy helpful to pee-in-your-pants funny. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
1. Thrift books.
Thriftbooks is an online used book store. They sell everything from popular bestsellers to college textbooks. Oh, and did I mention that they are insanely cheap? You can get books for over 50 percent off their market price. And wait, there's more: If you spend over $10, your shipping is free. With just $10 spent, I got five books. This website is a book lover's dream.
2. Bored Button.
Bored Button was introduced to me by a friend several months ago, and since then my productivity has severely decreased. Bored Button is a website that randomly generates other websites from all over the internet to help cure a user's boredom. These sites range from Devolve Yourself, which examines your physical traits in relation to your ancestry, to Conduct a Herd of Horses, in which you -- well -- conduct a herd of horses. Bored Button is great for a laugh, or for when you just really don't feel like writing that paper that's due tomorrow.
3. AwkwardFamilyphotos.com
This one is pretty self explanatory, but is still one of my favorite websites on the internet. Whenever I think my family is crazy and weird, it's nice to put things into perspective and realize that at least my family's not that crazy.
4. Miss A.
Miss A is an online shop that sells everything from cosmetics to jewelry. Having ordered from them several times myself, I can assure you that all of their products are of high quality. And the best part? Everything is only a dollar. That's right, a dollar. And shipping is free on all orders over $30. Also, if you spend $300, or over, in a calendar year, you automatically become a member of the A-list loyalty program where you have access to special merchandise that is still only a dollar!
5. Free Rice.
Free Rice is a trivia game where every correct answer you get ten grains of rice is donated by the website to global hunger programs. The website is run by the World Food Programme. You can play all different types of trivia games like basic English vocabulary, SAT prep, chemistry, math and several languages for english speakers. Free Rice is a great study tool that can also help you give back to the world.
6. Breadfish.

7. Shut Up and Take My Money.
Ever see an item online but you weren't sure where to buy it? Shut Up and Take My Money is here to help. Do you need a blob fish plushy? They have it. A poster of Darth Vader sipping tea in a meadow of flowers? Yep, I don't know why you'd want that, but this site has it. They have everything that you could possibly want but don't really need.
8. Is It Normal?
Do you have a question that's just burning you up, but you're too embarrassed to ask it? Use the anonymity of the internet to your advantage. Bring your story to Is it Normal? and the many people in their forums will weigh-in on your problem to help you out.
9. Duolingo.

10. I Need a Prompt.
This is great for my fellow writers and artist who are lost for ideas. I Need a Prompt will randomly generate a very creative and out of the box prompt for you to use to get the creative juices flowing. This website is great, even if you just need a laugh, because most of the prompts are so ridiculous you can't help but crack up.
11. What Should I Read Next.
After you finish a fantastic book do you often find yourself wondering, what should I read next? Well have no fear What Should I Read Next? is here to help. You simply type in the name of the book you just finished and What Should I Read Next? generates a list of hundreds of books that might peak your interest based on the book you just finished.
12. Little Alchemy
Little Alchemy is a great little game for when you're sick of Farmville and Angry Birds. Its a simple but addictive. You start out with four basic elements and from there on you combine those four elements to create the 550 elements they have for you to explore. But be careful, its crazy addictive.
