Who would have thought we would have a finals match between two Korean teams?

It's not as if Koreans are and have been the best players in the world since Season 1.

As one of my friends was telling me that they believed SKT and SSG wouldn't make it through their Semifinal matches, I was disregarding their comments fully. And rightfully so.

SKT is the League of Legends premier team, and while some argue it's just because of Faker, I think we have to give credit to the rest of the team for their just amazing skills. As a team, they work so well together in not just making few mistakes but coming back in games that they do make mistakes.

In SKT's match against Royal Never Gives Up, it wasn't looking great for SKT. With the power and prowess of RNG I wasn't unsure who was going to win the match. But as usual (riot scripts in full effect), SKT won. Because of their legacy, I don't know if it would really be a World Finals without them.

RNG played out of their minds though, Uzi is just a god among men. As an ADC main I strive to be as good as him or Bang. It was an amazing series though.

I think these Semifinals have shown the world the true power of East Asian teams on the world stage. It isn't just SKT and SSG, Chinese teams and EU teams are no joke.

I didn't watch the SSG vs WE match very much, most likely because it was overshadowed by the SKT vs RNG match. But as Korea came out on top, beating WE 3-1. WE put up a great fight this year, coming from the play in groups to the top four is just a stellar performance.

My predictions for the finals? As good as SSG is, I could see it being a rerun of the round one playoffs in July in the LCK. A 3-0 victory for SKT.
