Zookeeper Appreciation Post

A zoo is a magical place. This is all due to the fact that they hire the best staff to help out year round. Just because it isn't open, doesn't mean there aren't people working!

These amazing people dedicate their lives to helping care for these animals 24/7 365. During holidays, weekends, and the off season. When everyone is gone they still work hard.

The work that they are doing isn't easy either. With maintaining exhibits, feeding, and making sure the animals are healthy and well there's a lot to get done in a day. These days also start at about 7 am and can last until well after the zoo is closed.

Their hard work and dedication is what makes the zoo such a cool place to go to. Without them, zoos wouldn't be able to run properly. This isn't just the zookeepers, but the other workers as well. This includes maintenance, commissary, and even the summer staff that works gift shops and food.

I just wanted to say a large THANK YOU to all staff at all the zoos. Your hard-work and dedication is what makes these zoos so fun! You do amazing work and I hope that people give you the respect that you deserve.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
