First of all, let’s get this straight: you are my person. You are the person I would call in case anything awful happened to me or I did something awful to someone else. You’re always there when I need you, and you’ve never judged me in the past. You understand that I’m only human, and that I’m going to make mistakes. But the best part about you is, you will be the first person to tell me that I’m wrong.
I need you there for me, because most of the time, I won’t know that I’m being stupid. I’ll fall for that guy who turns out to be an asshole, even though you warned me about him to begin with. I’ll say that stupid thing in class even though you tell me that I shouldn’t say it out loud. And I will make a fool of myself 99% of the time. It’s okay though, because I know you’ll be there to pick up the pieces every single time, and I really do thank you for that.
At the risk of making this extremely corny, I just want to quickly tell you how much you mean to me. Not only are you my best friend, but you are also my sister, my partner, and my adventure buddy. You’re always down for anything and everything, and I honestly never have a dull time when I’m hanging out with you. I also can’t remember a time when we’re together that I haven’t laughed so hard that I’ve cried. I guess I have you to thank for my 2-out-of-6-pack.
I can call you at any time of the day and I know you’ll respond, which is absolutely amazing to me. If a guy is driving me crazy and I don’t know how to answer him, I’ll send you a screenshot and you’ll immediately reply with a more witty and humorous response than I could have ever imagined. So thanks for that sense of confidence as well.
I really just wanted to tell you that I’m so happy you’re in my life. I honestly would be miserable without you, because you’re the one that allows me to laugh at all of the messed up stuff that goes on in my life, which is really awesome. And of course, you know that this is a two-way street and I would do anything for you.
Being your best friend has been hysterical, amazing, and adventuresome. I’m so incredibly happy to call you my person, because you are. You are the person I would call for absolutely everything and anything (and usually I do), so thank you so much for putting up with me and my ridiculous “life-threatening” issues. I don’t think anybody else on this planet has the patience that you do, and I don’t think I’d have more fun with anybody else. Thanks for being you, and thanks for being my person.
