New year, new jams.

So, school is starting back. I know, I can't believe it either. When you think about school beginning again, it's highly likely that you have mixed emotions about it. Personally, I can't wait to be back on campus with my friends. It will be so nice to be going out on the weekends, watching movies with pals, and moving into a brand new dorm room with unlimited decorative possibilities. However, I sure wish that the homework, exams, and tears could be put on hold. I'm sure you feel the same way I do about the new year, but luckily some good jams will make the whole process much less painful. Here's some of my favorite songs at the moment that will carry you through studying, parties, and working out.

1. For your workout.

It's the beginning of a new year, and this means a clean slate. It's time to get back in touch with those fitness goals you set for yourself over the summer, and attack your health and wellness with new vigor. This can be the year that you take control of your physical health, and these songs will help pump you up!

"Too Good" // Drake ft. Rihanna

"Don't Mind" // Kent Jones

"Really? Yeah!" // Kyle

"Really Really" // Kevin Gates

"Nightshift" // Pryde

2. For those all-nighters.

It's inevitable that one night this year you will find yourself staying up until the wee hours of the morning cramming for an exam or writing a research paper. When the caffeine just isn't enough, these songs will give you a boost.

"The Princess Diaries Waltz" (From the Soundtrack) // John Debney

"Sleeping in My T-Shirt" // Zak Waters

"Love on The Brain" // Rihanna

"Better" // Kyle Dion

"Prisoner" // Jordan Bratton ft Chance the Rapper

3. For your nights with gal pals.

It's super important to maintain your friendships at school, even if homework and exams make you want to hole up in a corner and be alone. This girl power playlist will make time with pals super fun!

"Sit Still, Look Pretty" // Daya

"Needed Me" // Rihanna

"Side to Side" // Ariana Grande ft Nicki Minaj

"Cool Girl" // Tove Lo

"Me Too" // Meghan Trainor

4. For motivation.

Without fail, there will be some days when you just feel like you can't keep going. A test may have ruined your day, or you might have experienced a subtle snub from a friend. No matter the stressor, these songs will get you back on track!

"Lunatic" // Andry Grammer

"Once in a While" // Timeflies

"You Gotta Be" // Des'ree

"Must Have Done Something Right" // Reliant K

"Satisfied" // Crystal Lewis

5. For parties.

Nothing helps quell the week's stress like dancing the night away with friends on the weekend. These songs will make you instantly cooler!

"Broccoli" // D.R.A.M. ft. Lil Yachty

"Controlla" // Drake

"For Free" // DJ Khaled ft. Drake

"I'm About to Catch a Body" // Dreezy - Xtra Remix

"On Purpose" // Dougie F ft. 40 Cobras

I know that school - and the work that comes with it - starting back can be a bit of a drag, but hopefully these tunes make it all a little bit better. Let me know if there's any songs you think I left off! Happy listening and good luck with school! Crush it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

The best superpower ever? Being invisible of course. Imagine just being able to go from seen to unseen on a dime. Who wouldn't want to have the opportunity to be invisible? Superman and Batman have nothing on being invisible with their superhero abilities. Here are some things that you could do while being invisible, because being invisible can benefit your social life too.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
